I am looking for the video that happens right after this and it may be a security cam, not phone. It shows Floyd being led to police cruiser (near which he dies) the door is opened but instead of taking a seat you can seem him slop on the ground.

I guess it's not a very "convinient" video for the narrative of his peaceful non-resistance. I just hope some one may have archived it or have a link. I've been looking for it for a week. Please HALP!

I will preface this by saying that disagreeing and disapproving of the system of Apartheid in no way means that I consider the horrific acts of racism and violence against white South Africans - and Afrikaner farmers in particular - remotely justifiable. The farm murders, the agenda-driven renaming of Afrikaner-founded cities, the retarded Black Economic Empowerment affirmative action programs and more are repugnant and should be stopped immediately before SA becomes a complete shithole country.

You say their idea of creating autonomous Bantustans for the different ethnic groups down there was good in principle. You know what? I agree - if only they weren't so damn paranoid and autistic about it. First, in the establishment of the Bantustans, the National Party passed the Bantu Homelands Citizenship Act of 1970, which forcefully revoked the citizenship of all black South Africans and 're-assigned' them to new black 'homelands' which would be organized by tribe, and would then be given eventual independence as self-governing states. The problem with this is the borders that South Africa drew for these new states looked something like this. I don't think I need to explain why, aside from the Transkei, these homelands would be virtually ungovernable and easy to manipulate should South Africa so choose. In many cases these homelands were located on the shittiest segments of real estate South Africa had to offer, and in order to populate these new 'homelands', the SA government instituted a forced eviction and relocation of 3.5 million blacks from their homes.

Add on top of that an increasingly brutal police state that used violence (including letter bombs, as was the case with Ruth First) very liberally against political enemies of all races - both radical and non-violent, I might add - and regularly conducted raids against its neighbors, as well as sabotaging its supposed allies, including Ian Smith's Rhodesia. Remember - that Marxist pig Bobby Mugabe would have never come to power had South Africa not thrown Ian Smith under the bus. Coloureds in particular were also in a difficult situation, because the Apartheid government couldn't really settle on what actually constituted 'Coloured' as a race, and as a result during the various bureaucratic maneuvering of the Apartheid years many Coloured families ended up being torn apart due to their races being re-classified, and therefore, having to be relocated to their assigned segments of the country. Mixed marriages were outlawed outright, and in the 50's, they were stripped of their right to vote despite remaining South African citizens, unlike the Blacks - this reached a point where it even triggered a Constitutional Crisis.

I could go on but to prevent this from becoming an unnecessary wall of text, let's wrap this up by saying that it's easy to romanticize Apartheid considering the undeniable economic development and technological achievements that took place in SA during that period, but it was doomed to fail from the start. The Afrikaners were a victim of their own paranoia and repeatedly made poor political decisions that repeatedly came back to bite them in the ass. Once again, none of that is meant to say the crappy state of South Africa today is any better. In certain areas, it's definitely worse, but one would be hard-pressed to consider Apartheid a good thing.
