I've always felt a little bad for Tim. He wants to be more idealistic than his realism/inner cynic allows him to be. When he says he wants something to happen, but then stutters off into calling it a 'complicated issue', I've always heard 'I want this to be true but I know it's impossible'.

I gotta say the majority of the police I'm seeing are not gettin' their fucking due. It's a testament ot the quality of our forces that so many are putting up with this level of abuse to their face. I don't think any government has ever given the amount of respect and face to people absolutely raging against them so much.

Out of the hundreds of thousands, to maybe millions of people out there, many spitting, slapping, pinching, harrassing, doxxing, abusing, etc everyday police they haven't gone totally brutal as much as I'd expect. If you had a mid-game team swap and all the protesters were suddenly dressed in blue I don't think they would put up with that shit for more than a few minutes.

It's a bummer all around, I don't like police much but you learn to appreciate them when you really need them, just look at all the times things have gone sideways and everyone starts yelling about where they are.
