Wait a minute a Minneapolis city council member gets over 100k a year? For what?
You gotta be fucking kidding me, that's more than a Brigadier General in Germany gets short before he retires (~85.000euros ) which is also roughly the same amount a city council member in Berlin (population 3,7 million) gets.
Minneapolis (pop: over 400.000) is comparable in population size to Nuremberg (pop: over 500.000) which pays its city council members exactly 20.196 euros anually.
Jesus guys seriously one could think all of your city councils are just giant self-enrichment centers.

You're right. I'm best served finding non-pozzed people to spend my time with. It just shocks me how this event has galvanized even fairly apolitical people to start supporting riots.

Keep this in mind: the people that post consistently on Instagram are a minority, much like Twitter. What you see is also curated by who you follow. If it’s too much, but you don’t want to unfollow someone, you can always mute them (seriously, it does wonders for the feed). Most of all, the people that use things such as Instagram and Twitter often are usually pretty young with fewer responsibilities. Most people outside of social media really don’t care as much about these issues as you’re led to believe. Once a new cause of the day shows up, most will stop talking about it altogether.
