Because of the heavy rain last night and expected tonight and looting being kind of over, it's all likely to end in a lame march of 20-30,000 (unremarkable for DC) on Saturday and everything dying out after that. With the exception of twentysomething LARPers from Dupont and the close in suburbs, everyone just wants to enjoy restaurants and stuff now that they're semi-open.

If a crowd tries to storm the white house, the Secret Service isn't going to deploy "cool crowd control" they're just gonna start shooting people. Secret Service doesn't fuck around.

Why is a t-shirt shop in Oakland California making masks for Washington, St. Louis, New York City and Minneapolis. Aren't there silk screens in those cities? Furthermore why aren't they making masks for the LA and Oakland protests? This is strange.

Update.

I did talk to the Chief of Police in my local town. Basically, I asked how to conduct myself and how the police should conduct THEMSELVES.

He basically told me if I complied with whatever they ask, I'll be okay 99% of the time. I asked about filming, it's within my First Amendment rights to film police.

Good conversation. I would like to learn more about what rights I'm entitled to with police interactions. I feel that's just an elementary description.

There will be a solidarity parade this weekend as well. Should be peaceful.

If they are dumb enough to rush the WH, it has a BUNCH of Gatling guns, so it would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

The chance of anybody sacking the White House at these riots is 0%. The moment a large crowd breaches the gates and heads towards the actual WH the secret service will be using live rounds or crowd control measures these people aren't prepared for. They won't care about the optics at that point

I should stress the only reason he got that firearm was because it was easier to have that checked and regulated spec wise for Tim than a fucking handgun. Backwards logic, but least ol' beanie man can be feel safe going forward. He also commented on the podcast that he amongst many he know are fully behind Trump after the riots this past week.
