I want to believe that her grandmother didn't have the words to eloquently explain to her apoplectic daughter that she herself has expressed nothing in the way of concrete plans to ameliorate the situation she's driving herself mad over and in fact hardly knew about despite the fact that it was always happening until a week ago when this particular case gained extreme traction.

I mean, she outright asks, "what are you going to do"?

Depends on how you define it.

I don't think we'll see honest-to-god KKK and Neo-Nazi white nationalism ever go mainstream, since the KKK is nothing more than redneck Boomers and glowies and the Nazis are mostly just glowies and skinheads or edgelords.

Plus the events of World War II is way too ingrained into our collective cultural psyche for any kind of openly fascist or Nazi movement to be anything other than fringe.

Seriously, WWII is becoming our equivalent of the Trojan War or the Book of Exodus, it's one of those events that is woven into our wider cultural fabric and becomes more romanticized and mythic as time goes on and it gets further away from living memory.

Combine that with the well-documented crimes against humanity committed by Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, and Neo-Nazism going mainstream is just not going to happen. Thank God.



But at the same time, I think these riots may get more people to become "red pilled" and start to more or less go "fuck it" and start pushing a counter-movement and actually use things like dog whistles tactics and all the other things SJW's and extreme leftists accuse random white people of doing.

It's going to be the Alpha Gen kids who are going to respond to this most effectively and become the main driving force of this movement. They're the real Generation Zyklon, and the SJW's are going to be to them what the Religious Right was for the Millennials, the big moral authoritarian boogeyman that colors their perception of politics for the rest of their lives.

The actual Zoomers are going to be more or less split in two, with the older Early Zoomers being more or less woke leftists who overlap with the later cohort of the Millennials and the younger Late Zoomers more likely to become "based" and generally right-wing.

The Core Zoomers are just now entering adulthood and this is going to be a shock to them.

Before George Floyd's death, I used to think the core of the Zoomers would be like Generation X and go in a more centrist or moderate liberal direction overall, with heavy amounts of apolitical folks in their ranks. Now, this is going to polarize them and a lot of them will start picking a side.

Gavin McInnes may have been onto something in saying conservatism is going to be the new counterculture, but I think he was wrong in how it's going to manifest and how quickly it might happen.

It's not going to be like the new punk rock.

If anything, it's going to be the antithesis of that. It's going to be more subtle and I'm pretty sure that punk culture and punk aesthetics in general are going to be tainted for that new generation because of the SJW's, but that's neither here nor there.

Expect any type of mainstream white backlash to be subtle if it happens. Hell, even a right-wing or conservative backlash will be subtle even if there's no racial undercurrent.

It's the kind of thing that would be quiet and slow-moving at first, and then happen all at once.

DC is a shithole kept barely afloat by a constant influx of government money and tourism dollars. If Trump really wants to hit DC where it hurts, he should move as many government jobs outside the DC area as possible before leaving office. It wouldn't be hard to justify - cost of living and land prices in the area are insane.
