Something I haven't seen anyone else mention is that Nickelodeon aired a segment in honor of Black Lives Matter. Which is fucked up in my book. As important as the issue is, kids shouldn't have to worry about this shit.

I wouldn't mind it if they just had a segment on just how racism is bad. Every kids' cartoon out there has at least one episode on that subject, and it's an important lesson to learn.
What feels very scummy is that everything is getting associated with #BlackLivesMatter and BLM as an organization. BLM is an organization set specifically to protest and cause trouble, not to uplift the lives of black people across America with productive initiatives to reduce black crime and to increase standards of education in black communities. They have pocketed a truly staggering amount of money on top of all the funding they already had, and all this publicity is turning them into de-facto moral guardians now. Everybody is going to measure their words so as not to draw the ire of BLM, even if they're saying things that need to be said.

This is why it’s best to limit any intake of movies and tv for kids. Kids need to play outside, learn new hobbies and just have fun. These riots show that generations of people over consuming movies and television has an overall bad effect on the population (hence why you see everyone making popular movie and tv show analogies to these riots).

Back in the old days they'd have done something on Nick News. But this, comparatively, is nothing. They just went off the air for a while. I don't think they even mentioned Black Lives Matter.
Yeah, looking at it again it seems like it was all about George Floyd's death rather than about BLM in particular. It still disturbs me.

Maybe. They’ve changed the narrative from “justice for George Floyd” to “end racism”. The thing about ending racism though, is that there’s no real “end” to it since it’s more of a human condition rather than a cut and dry thing like getting someone tried for a crime.

We should 100% be against racism. But we should be very careful with anyone who makes a career out of hunting witches. Because they will never run out of witches, even if they have to find them where none exist.
"Ending" the natural human tendency to be suspicious of people different than ourselves is a great cause for the permanent revolutionary, too. Just about the best. Sure, it's a Sisyphean task, rolling that boulder up the hill to achieve a "great victory against racism!" just for a cop or a redneck to kill a black guy and then they have to start all over again... but it doesn't sting when you're being given millions of dollars every time it happens. In fact, you might even roll the boulder down the other side of the mountain yourself.

Except that's not what they mean. They want to strip all police forces of their funding and weaponry, for no reason other than because they hate cops. This just raises the further question of "how the fuck do you guys expect them to do the job they're supposed to do? How are they supposed to defend themselves from criminals armed with weapons or firearms?" which just goes to show just how little thought actually went into this idea.

It was where he and Peele did skits before the show ended and did their own thing. Another skit I remember was about an interracial couple preaching about racial harmony but are passive aggressively racist towards each other.

I think the difference is from what I recall Nick News was able to handle controversial and dark subjects with tact in a mostly neutral stance "This is what happened and this is how people feel about it" sort of way geared to kids.
If they showed this to me as a kid it would have scared the shit out of me.
