I agree it's very artificial, particularly her hand gingerly on his arm. She's making sure to look directly into the camera. Very purposeful. Has a "this is the way happy couples look in photos, right?" feel. He's looking at the preview. Ralph is petty and self-conscious. Probably due to the shaving she clearly made him do, ptsd from the unintentional Gunt exposure, and being fully aware that he's a fat fuck and his body is breaking down.

The gunt is reaching critical mass of fat tissue. Looks like the fat depository is now shifting to form a 3rd chin, but its hidden under a used merkin. Odd how the facial hair doesn't match up with the photo Ethan posted (uploaded by @Perspicacity ) compared to the photo she uploaded on the same day.
