Those lunatics and radicals are really good for signal boosting your cause - and very prone to completely moving on and forgetting what it was that they had dedicated their very essence and core to last week. So you get them to put on pressure, sneak yourself into those positions of power, and then you begin to merely revamp and reform the department into something that strongly benefits yourself at the cost of others.

The radicals, if they noticed, might feel betrayed and angered that all their revolutionary goodwill turned out to just be something that was easily manipulated. But they'll be too busy screaming about some children's show or book on twitter to really notice.

The Unabomber of all people put forth an interesting theory a few years back about how people, specifically leftists, undertake 'crusades' to satisfy frustrated primeval desires. You can no longer save the village by killing the cheetah in modern day society so the next best thing is to kill the figurative beast of injustice. Now, the girl in question, from her Instagram, definitely seems to be on the BLM bandwagon, so I think there may have been some truth to her making plans. She's shuttered her facebook and twitter to the public, either because she was getting death threats or she has something to hide.
