Holy shit I just read their list of demands, which just further shows how removed they are from the systems that benefit them. These nonces be like, "abolish government, abolish law and order, but give everyone a fair trial!!" Really is proof that they assume the legal rights they have in America are just god-given and implicit in being a human...they don't know what the system is if they can say to destroy it and then try to use it to their advantage in the same breath. They don't understand that occupying a street like they live in the goddamn slums of Southeast Asia, and being allowed to do so without being outright killed by the police or military, is a fucking American right and even a privilege. Try this shit in another country, no really, I dare you! And no I am not talking France or Sweden. I am talking Philippines, Turkey, Sudan, Afghanistan... godspeed to you silly children.
Back when the MOVE crisis happened, the US government literally dropped bombs on their own city because poor black folk were not following the "social rules" of the neighborhood, similarly occupying but acting a lot less severely...and still, the US was not beyond dropping literally bombs onto them. Only reason they won't do it now to CHAZ is probably all the rich white kids camping in there (or because the government simply sees that these weak people will fizzle out and eventually go home lol). Talk about privilege, and inequality...
Or perhaps the United States has actually developed morally since the MOVE crisis, and has learned not to do that again. But who am I kidding, USA big bad racist, you can never say that they have made strides as a country in the past few decade.
These protesters in CHAZ have no idea, how well they are being treated considering what they are doing, if you look back in history and expand your mind to include places OUTSIDE THE USA...
