At the start of this thread I was critical and shocked at the way this arrest went. I didn't know Floyd's history, nor did I care as I believe everyone, including those with a criminal past, should be afforded due process of law.

Now? I don't give a damn. I don't care about the arrest or anything else to do with that clusterfuck. Nothing that came afterward has anything to do with human rights or police misconduct. My city had riots, looting and destruction for over a week, the effects of which are going to be felt for decades. Any inclination towards sympathy disappeared last week. Burn NYC? Sure, I don't care, I'm outta here ASAP.

Random thought about corporate endorsements to blm: How much is sincere (or at least as sincere as a megacorp can get), and how much is some pr department equivalent of humoring the crazy strung-out junkie with sympathetic sounding bullshit until you can get off the subway car?

My company put out the usual hand-wringing platitudes recently, but we're headquartered in Chicago. Rumor is headquarters might be relocating. I'd actually feel less annoyed by it if it was just saying "nice doggy" while backing away in corporate speak.

I'm 100% convinced this is the case for pretty much every multinational corpo spouting their woke platitudes. It costs them nothing to appease the woke crowd, all the have to do is get some intern photoshop some statement of "solidarity" and it's just business as usual.

I dream that this whole shitshow redpills the nation on how stupid all this is and Sony, Amazon and all those other corpo fucks lose billions in revenue cause Joe six pack doesn't want to support companies that support anarcho commie nonsense.
