I'm just spitballing here, but I think the appeal of streaming is that it's supposed to feel like you're playing a game with a good friend and shooting the shit. A good streamer doesn't have to be good at the game (unless he's a speedrunner or something) or good at telling jokes, he just needs to have a good personality. While most of us here know that Alex' personality is rotten, I think nobody can deny that he's good at hiding that rotten personality most of the time.

I've watched a stream or two of his and I can safely say if Alex wasn't openly degenerate and allergic to criticism, he would be likeable. When saying something that makes him likeable he soon says something retarded.

The thing is, Alex doesn't even have to run with the money. Mighty number 9 showed, that you can just shit something that is "better than nothing". But yeah, there were enough projects, that got their money and never delivered, so my guess is people could do nothing about it. Alex should use Indie GoGo though, because you don't have to set goals there, you just get everything that people throw at you.

YandereSim is shitty unity game that pretty much anyone with basic programming knowledge can shit out within few month or years depending on complexity (Countless ripoffs proved that). He's slowly losing support while lazying around so when the time kickstarter will be up comes, there won't be any backers.

Honestly I really hope you're right. But like someone said earlier, people have spent money on shadier stuff. Here's hoping that a majority of the fanbase is indeed too young to even be able to spend that money. Though given how his patron looks who really knows.
It's seriously concerning how many parents don't pay attention to what their kids are into. Or even if they are how many don't seem to care.
