Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Remember Trump saying he wouldn't consider renaming the bases, he better veto and not "monitor the situation". The Republicans fold everytime when left to their own devices, it's going to be business as usual once Trump is out of office.

"LET HIM VETO THE NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT OVER THIS ISSUE LET'S GO!" Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) tweeted Wednesday night in response to the news about the amendment on base names.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), a member of the Armed Services Committee, called the administration's veto threat "despicable."

"It would be shameful enough for the current occupant of the Oval Office to refuse to even consider having the U.S. military stop honoring traitors who took up arms against America to defend their ability to own, sell and kill Black Americans," Duckworth said in a statement. "But for the Trump White House to threaten vetoing a pay raise for our troops over this is downright despicable."

Fuck off with that gay-ass ALLCAPS shit. And "National Defense Authorization Act"? What kind of overblown, self-important title is that? You're just trying to rename military bases for brownie points.

I'm pretty sure a panel voting is still a long way from anything concrete enough to veto.

That means they want to stick it into the law that provides our defense budget. They pass a new one every year and have used it to ram shit through the backdoor in the past. The 2013 NDAA was used to repeal the Smith-Mundt Act, which had been used to keep US government propaganda from being broadcast/distributed domestically. And afterwards was when you started to really see the MSM go off the rails.

Ah, so if Trump vetoes it they can start shrieking "But you said you looooved the military now you won't fund them look how much he hates the military that we suddenly think needs all this funding everybody!"

They really are transparent little shits.

I thought it was hilarious that they'd cancel Gone With the Wind because it depicted slavery (Which existed in the era that movie was based in), but they completely ignore the fact that Scarlett's "mammy", portrayed by the actress Hattie McDaniel, actually won an Oscar for her role in that movie. She was the first black actor to ever win one, and now they've effectively just erased her accomplishment and they probably don't even realize it.

How many of these people watch ancient fucking movies, anyways?
My grandmother (rest her soul) loved that movie with a passion. I used to watch it with her all time as a wee little laddie. She even pointed that out to me as a child.

Naaaah
you don't get to play that card, anymore. If all of those riots and protests were perfectly fine and we haven't seen a monsterous spike in COVID-related cases even after all that, you can shove that shit right back in the deck. I no longer fucking care and apparently neither did you so long as it was politically expedient.

Strange. She seemed more than happy to support the COVID-measures-ignoring protests just a week ago.

Remember the first couple of days of these protests when Leftwing leaders were still pretending this wasn't just cover for attacking Trump?

Uh...
Is there no way to get to page 3296? It just takes me to the first page. Again and again and again.
