Or that these laws don't protect kids, they basically force them into toxic high school relationships. You guys aren't addressing these points. I think you'll find out pretty quickly that people of all persuasions (black, white, gay, straight, woman, man, left or right) are going to be raising the same points we are right now.

You need to debate those people, even if they are arguing in "bad faith", when the time comes. Or youre just going to be stuck yelling at people in a forum

If someone is advancing a platform, the easiest way to do it is to simplify it and pare it down until just the key points are covered. The more complex you make it, the less likely you'll find a match in the audience.

Something important to keep in mind about the way the internet and modern-day "debating" works: nobody ever actually persuades anyone of anything. If someone has a pre-existing belief, chances are, nobody's going to change it. Changing that belief means admitting they were wrong. Nobody has the balls to do that.

"Debates" on the internet are not a means of persuasion. They are a means of discovering who holds the same beliefs you already have, so you can form cliques with them.
