Cultural upheaval always intensifies apocalyptic thinking, and it's no different during this spasm.

These days, though, the internet and social media have introduced us to the ALGORITHM that kindly feeds us, at the speed of light, whichever signs of the end-times we find most convincing and/or comforting. It's the most potent delivery system of conformation bias yet devised.

Their garden was crap anyway. Nothing of value was lost. Now, if CHAZ wants food of their own, they need to relocate to a coastline and get some boats and fishing nets. It might kill their vegan sensibilities, but obtaining seafood is much quicker than growing plants (and much more calorie dense). I would recommend hunting, but that’s too advanced (and it requires guns).

The more cities that burn, the more people that will move to the countryside and suburban areas. Burning down your own city for justice is the equivalent of cutting off your nose to spite your face. I guess if they want to create their own food desert they can go for it.
