Finance isn’t my field but surely there are some measures in place that make creating outright slush fund mechanisms illegal? We have the sunshine act in our area, isn’t there something similar for political fundraising, and any kind of channelling of funds?

There are significant amounts of intentional loopholes in the laws that allow this sort of thing to go unmolested.
There's a platform that was published by Movement for Black Lives, which is made up of numerous organizations including BLM, that was in support of BDS and claimed Israel is a genocidal apartheid state. It was removed, but I found an archive. Interestingly, it was taken down March of 2020. The new version has no word of Israel, interestingly. I do know that BLM has had a few pro-BDS speakers, including Linda Sarsour, and that Shaun King has a link to Louis Farrakhan. Other than that, I don't know of any official current stance, so I think my earlier statement was a bit exaggerated.

Some kid found hanging from a tree in a park outside city hall two days ago. No signs of a struggle, so the police have no evidence that it was murder rather than suicide, but it's still being investigated as a suspicious death.
