I have an autism about casual Sailor Moon cosplay in particular, because there's a fuckton of cute casual and alternate designs in the artbooks and anime. But most people don't do those and choose to do garbage alt designs instead.

They dress up as hyper-sexualized video game characters, modify the costume so it shows off their boobs even more than it does in the game and parade around conventions hoping to get noticed by a game publisher/developer but, y'know, don't you dare treat them as an an object.



I've been thinking about making a thread on a former video game "journalist" who tried to use her position to serve as a platform that allowed her to be the "voice" of cosplayers. She thought of herself as a professional and expected other folks in the industry to treat her as a professional, even when she was running around in a fucking costume with her boobs hanging out.

I am very sure Japan has its own basket of problems with its cosplay community, while I am assured in the States at least that you are very correct. Hell, at least in Japan, the best of cosplayers just cosplay to represent their characters to the best of their abilities and given beauty in respect, while out west, we've seen a lot of attention whoring and shallow "lolz silly cuck bois" sentiments from the "western professional cosplaying scene".

This may have come across as "pro japan shit murrica" nonsense, but this has only helped reinforce in me my belief in the hypothesis of how such a productive and active industry in Japan, and even in its slowdown of output, that promotes artists to thrive within its cultural bedding, promotes more cases of good character and mores than the pure spectator and overindulgent bystander driven anime fan scene and community here in the States. The reasoning behind this is that, without a grasp in understanding the efforts of hard work to put into artistic works, you attract shitty people who don't even care about animation or sequential art, let alone anime and manga. This even goes to the faggots who have helped spread oldfag days of shitty fan behaviors, like thinking that anime can only be made in Japan "because the Japanese only can" and having a completely assblasted infertile landscape that's been dominated by the ruined fragments of the Comics Books Crash of 1996 (among other things), yet no one has taken the effort to clean up the rubble and junk since, and just builds upon the hazard and haphazard ass shit without a second thought.

I mean, for fuck's sake, there was a collaboration with Sega not too recently sponsoring select cosplayers (who are fans of the series) for a special edition Phantasy Star Cosplayer Album. A lot of good cosplayers over there have also known when to quit and to just have done it as a fun hobby. Over here? We have thots and whores collaborating secondhand with photographers selling fucking photos for desperate cucks and even fucking bath water for the stupid, which will last until their beauty fades, the fans stop paying, or they make their million and invest it before doing endless coke with their dream "alpha boyfriend" in the Bahamas. Jessica Nigri can attest to this shit, look her ass up.

And coming back full circle with the Leftist SJW faggotry showcases a major powerstarved hunger to a lot of these ugly whores, in that they want their cake and all to themselves, and if anyone tries, they'll call the fucking cops and the feds like the spoiled princesses they are. This means they'll pretty much bend politics and even the law to get what they want, and with no infrastructure of creative industry, they will take the reigns of fandom for their petty ass pile of shit they can put their throne on. Pretty MATI of me to say, but shitty human beings are shitty human beings, and I'm equal opportunity shitting.

Is there any truth to "Yaya doesn't sew her own costumes"? There were rumors about Nigri not making her shit for years, even for really simple costumes. I always felt it was maybe partially true, but after cosplaying for years she'd probably get a lot better and gave her the benefit of the doubt, also I'm not aware of any evidence, but this was several years ago.

TL;DR I blame American slacktivist champange faux-feminism. You want to be a cheerleader, model or a booth babe? Go for it. Everyone in society judges, but as much as faux-feminists yell about misogyny and virtue signaling, they are the most pathetic cowards in life for caring what everyone thinks of them. I am A-logging, yes, because for all of thotdom's talk of "safe spaces" I actually enjoy my hobbies and don't need it ruined by whores who not only cannot love themselves but cannot stand up for themselves. No amount of beauty can change a coward, even if it's a woman.

By the way, some related advice further reinforced by Weeb Wars, don't date cosplayers or convention goers, or if you do, be extra cautious. It should be a given, but until not only America puts out their own grassroots attempts to be creative, but gets their heads out of their asses about virtue signaling and who is "morally superior", conventions currently attract broken and self pitying people who need to share their misery or escape from a world they haven't bothered to confront and accept. You don't need to ruin your life with people like them.
