Benji upset Gorsuch interpreted the law as written.
A lot of right wing media types making the rest of us look like the caricature of homophobes the left calls us. Some are not surprising, like Erick Erickson. I was disappointed to see Mollie Hemingway though because I find her very level headed and rational and usually agree with her on everything.

The right has got to stop acting like the left so much. The case shouldn't be judged based on your desired outcome. Even if you disagree with being gay, Gorsuch's argument is sound I believe. Namely, if you fire a man for being gay, you are in effect firing a man for being interested in men. If you would only fire a man for being interested in men, but you wouldn't fire a woman for being interested in men, you are in fact discriminating on the basis of sex.

This shoot the messenger thing is what the left does all the time with, say, Trump and his taxes. Just because the judge didn't rule in your favor doesn't mean the judge is corrupt or compromised.

The right is also starting to pearl clutch like the left. I can't remember what conservative it was, but several months back they were sick and almost died or did die or something like that. And the right clutched its pearls about how despicable it was for the left to wish death on them. I was like, 'C'mon guys. Let's all stop pretending like we're not also eagerly waiting for RBG's seat to come open soon.'

They're busy trying to say it went through because Trump doesn't have the power to override it, implying that he would have hated to see it happen. They need it to be something he doesn't want.
The idea that someone like Trump, a New York real estate tycoon with multiple wives and mistresses under his belt(proverbially and possibly literally too)would have some sort of problem with various non-pedophile "sexual minorities" having the same legal protections that ethnic minorities have is absurd. The guy is no anti-gay crusader and everyone knows he isn't.

Oh come on. You idiots didn't move to Canada when Trump was voted in and you won't move to Canada when he gets his second term this november. That's why no one takes you seriously, because you never do anything.

to be fair even canada doesn't want to deal with that waste.
funny how all those leftards ignore canada's immigration policies after shitting themselves about the united states.

I mean to say they are starting to is an understatement because remember how the right was before Trump had the nomination, they were screaming how Trump is not a real conservative and calling him evil for not having real christian values. Hell the tiny hands thing came from Marco Rubio.

Big tent doctrine prevents a third party.
I disagree.

Almost every third party we've had in the modern era has been inept and borderline retarded. They are either living in the extremes or they take a centrist message and then also throw in the destruction of polluting industry or the removal of any and all regulation as a core issue, which drives people away. Either way it's just a hypothetical and not going to happen. But I wanted to modulate what Last Stand had said because it wasn't a realistic suggestion. Winning the Presidency is nice but sustained power and influence comes from being viable to begin with. You can win the Executive Branch after you've won the war to become noticed and have your voice heard in the Legislative Branch.

A functional third party in Congress and in the public sphere is more important and useful than a lame duck in the Oval Office.

It's hard to have a true three party system because the leftmost party will always collapse due to incompetence and fold back into the center party. At which point it will be pulled to the left and you're back in a two party system.

The UK has the LibDems and Canada has the NDP, but they're only competitive in a few places in their countries. It's basically Tory/Labour outside of Scotland and Tory/Liberal outside of Quebec.

Trump has a more hawkish foreign policy than Biden? What did the blue retarded furry progressivetard mean by this?

Who was it that was trying to use John Bolton to stop orangeman in the impeachment?

George Bush these days has been embraced by all the neoliberals in the democratic party as what an ideal conservative should be.

Why are all the neocons and warhawks all backing Biden including full blown liars like Colin Powell. And we saw how some high level members in the Pentagon and Military will willing to fuck Trump over incase the Riots got way way out of hand.

Trump made a speech about stopping foreign wars and the media just concentrated on how he walks and drinks water rather than pushing him towards doing that if they want world peace so bad.

Huh?

One of the central issues with the Gorsuch decision is that suddenly gender identity is being considered an immutable characteristic under the Civil Rights Act, which seems to be very strange considering last I checked sex and gender are not the same thing. The projective proclamation that you're discriminating on the basis of sex as opposed to the basis of personal behavior that comes with many transgender persons is utterly laughable.

That's kind of like saying that you're discriminating on the basis of race if you object to behavior that is more likely to occur within a given racial category, such as violent crime.

Is their "It is now illegal to fire/refuse to hire a troon, because his discrimination claim will be instantly believed?" caricature of the decision accurate?

It's almost as if the law he was ruling on was intentionally written that way, and conservatives are too scrupulous to use judicial activism to negate it, because they still believe that laws should be written by the legislature.

I fully await Masterpiece Cakeshop 3: He Refused to Hire Me Because I Was Transgender

My sense of it is that the Civil Rights Act was believed to be a temporary measure that would eventually become obsolete, but it became an immortal hydra that is dragging everyone screaming down into the ocean depths.

I'm not yet willing to believe this madness was intentional. Even Gorsuch knows it wasn't, hence the "lack of imagination" hogwash.

We don't even need a third party candidate to win, we just need a viable third party to act as a reasonable source of power and influence against the two existing poles that are the DNC and RNC.
Trump, by all means, might be that third party candidate. He just successfully did what Bernie tried to do - they realized third party candidates spoil elections, so instead of going independent and ensuring the side opposite you wins they infiltrated the party they agree most with.

I dislike much of her jurisprudence, but you really have to respect her tenacity to willingly take up the Golden Throne to hold back the enemy as long as she can, even when you are the enemy. The left should hate her for not retiring under Obama though.
