Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

This... this is why I've pretty much resigned to the country ending.

Because people no longer have principle on rules and procedures any more. It's not a nation of laws and rules anymore. The nation of the id. It's "whatever makes us feel good" - which means the republic is devolving into a pure democracy.

Which means death isn't far behind, and they are going to applaud it every step of the way.

Remember D.A.R.E. and all the transparent lies they told you about pot being the "gateway drug"
Honestly, I think that was true for almost every single druggie friend I've ever had (very large sample size). That is probably accurate for a significant amount of addicts.

Blue, Red.

Irish Spring Green!

Denocrat. Lol.

I wouldn’t say “full”. There’s a vocal minority of weird white supremacist (((parenthesis))) posters who probably just need the love of an unattractive woman to fix them up.

Most of the posters I like in this thread post interesting and thoughtful conservatism that you can’t find on /pol/, and because we have names I can make value judgments on their content (which is why I can’t use 9chan for political discourse).
I wouldn’t call it a minority, especially after the George Floyd case. I think the forum is starting to show its true colors.
How was Trump’s ass kicked though?

Programs like DARE and other... things always make a mistake in thinking that process stuff is interchangeable.

In this case, while all drug users might have started with pot, not all pot users move to harder drugs. Or "all alcoholics started by drinking alcohol, but not everyone that drinks alcohol becomes an alcoholic."

I'm sure someone has a term for it, but I can't find it right now.

There's definitely a bias in the data. People who want to do drugs start with pot because it's easy to get. I bet if you surveyed some sets of the population in the mid 2000s you'd see a linkage between molly and harder drugs too, because that was the most available and hyped party-drug.

Trump is the most friendly LGBT President though. They really need to find a hobby instead wasting time trying to be a victim.

Obama spent his entire first term insisting marriage was between a man and a woman. They never even bothered to hide that he "evolved" because his gay donors threatened him.

He ran on that to get wider appeal from blacks and southerners, who don't really like the gay, and then dropped it when it became expedient. It was transparently a political strategy to manipulate the "Coalition of the Ascendant" that he cultivated.

If whatever makes us feel good is the standard for the death of the country, then America has been dead since the Alien and Sedation Acts passed.

This is a moment of wild passion, that will be look upon with bewilderment within a few years. It’s the same as 1968 and 1848. The US has been through worse derangements, considering they banned alcohol for a decade.

The last time we had a nation-wide mania it didn't result in the entire political, scientific, educational, and media establishment demonizing the country's founding stock and demanding the end of our culture and heritage.

That's what you get when every major organisation uses boilerplates written by bullshit studies majors, and as the years pass the boilerplates have to get longer and more extreme to prevent the true believers from recognising them for what they are.

You're safer wearing a rainbow shirt in the Deep South than you are wearing a MAGA hat in San Francisco.
Oh yeah definitely, but Obama was trying to court the biggest tent possible and that meant getting Baptist leaders on board. And he presented himself to them as a folksy Black Christian with Christian family values.

Are you sure they didn’t back in 1968? The Silent Majority was coined for a reason.

I guess you can consider that the motte to 2020's bailey. The Civil Rights crusaders and even the hippies still claimed to believe in the kind of humanism and egalitarian values that America was founded on, and most of them even pretended to be Christian (or at least not against Christian values). Really it was just a kind of entryism for the people who created modern SJW activism to get into positions of authority over children or into politics.

That was also largely opposed by the public-facing elements of the establishment. Nixon mobilized the Guard to stop hippies, even though you could argue that the "Deep State" (read: CIA) was puppeteering some of them with the money it put into Laurel Canyon and into New Age cults.

The Deep State back then went in hard post-68. Crushed the Black Panthers and utterly capped the militancy of the far-left. The shit we are seeing now is chump change compared to what was going on in the 60s. I’m talking nail bombs packed with as much explosives as one could find. Look up Terry Robins to understand the kind of radicalism and what it’s results were back then.

This shit is a trend, a fad. The same with signs in stores that read “no irish need apply” or the Klan revival in the 20s. Deluded crusaders thinking that they are going to change the world while corporations cash in. They’ll take away statues and kneecap police departments, but who is going to be affected by that? Not the ghetto blacks that’s for sure. The middle class that’s been whipped into a frenzy will realize their streets aren’t safe and they’ll flee or reverse course.

But the working class; they’ll still be fucked.
