Calm down. That's proper police procedure--secure the scene, detain anyone they find armed, and figure out WTF is going on.

They took a couple Civil Guard guys into custody, but they'll probably be let go without an arrest. From an article:

The [shot] man, who was not identified, was taken away in an ambulance, and the police took into custody several members of a right-wing militia who were dressed in camouflage and carrying military-style rifles. It was not clear whether any of them had fired the shot; witnesses said the gunman was a white man in a blue shirt.

“We are receiving reports about vigilante groups possibly instigating this violence,” Chief Michael Geier of the Albuquerque Police Department said on Twitter. “If this is true will be holding them accountable to the fullest extent of the law, including federal hate group designation and prosecution.”

...The police used chemical irritants and stun grenades to “protect officers and detain individuals involved in the shooting,” Gilbert Gallegos, a police spokesman, said. “The individuals were disarmed and taken into custody for questioning.”

Hours later, Mayor Tim Keller announced that the Oñate statue would be removed until “the appropriate civic institutions” could determine how to proceed.

“The shooting tonight was a tragic, outrageous and unacceptable act of violence and it has no place in our city,” the mayor wrote on Twitter. “Our diverse community will not be deterred by acts meant to divide or silence us.”

Mayor Tim Keller, who last year had hired a new chief of police to try and move them towards the now-fashionable community policing shtick.

On the one hand, kudos for being ahead of the trend. On the other, I don't think this bit will age well.

As for the city's skyrocketing homicide rate, Geier said they'll work with the district attorney's office with the goal of stopping violent crimes before they happen.

"People don't become homicide offenders overnight," he said. "A lot of these people are predators and have a propensity for violence if you have them off the street when they commit other crimes you probably are preventing future homicides."

That's the truth, and even JBGC are fucking useless with guns. They line up shoulder to shoulder and then fire blindly, and still have trouble hitting a paper target not 25 yards away, and THAT was with a cop instructing them.
How do I know that? Because they left a lot of trash at the scene of the range day, including a receipt from Dunkin' Donuts complete with a law enforcement discount.

Not the first time, and I would wager not the last to boot.

BLM's donation money mostly funnels to "ActBlue" - which itself seems to exist mostly to throw money at democrat campaigns. So most of the BLM money is going to a white man and his campaign.

But it doesn't really matter regardless. Even if you provide the evidence that these charities are big money holes - the odds are they'll justify that money to democrats is helping black people anyway, or get mad because facing the truth could mean recognising that big feel-good donation you made is ultimately not helping some poor black trans woman put food on the table after all.

Damn, Tucker got pretty close to bringing up anarcho-tyranny in that segment near the end. But instead he went with "The establishment is bowing to the mob" rather than "The establishment wanted what the mob wants all along, and is allowing this bit of theatre to take place to create the illusion of a mass conversion". Of course us autists who play eu4 can probably see it more clearly, because it's a common strategy in that game to let rebels enforce their demands so you can get a better government type, a king with better stats, convert religion or for some weird exploit.

He might be accidentally fedposting with his "The message is that violence and rioting works", by neglecting to bring up that it only works if you're on the left.

I think he means that if a nation is strong enough to have rule of law political mob violence shouldn't work. But America's present leadership is too weak/complicit in it to stop the present bullshit. Sometimes I wonder if this anarcho-tyranny system in the West is much like the old Weimar days, where the government is so crippled by its own bureaucracy and laws (in Weimar's case externally imposed ones) that power-hungry elements within it resort to encouraging politically motivated paramilitary groups to enforce its will for them. Or in the modern case a pseudo-underclass of people who spend their lives on social media and mob them by those means. In America's case they have overwhelming force, but as we can see from the public reaction to the Waco siege it is almost never a good idea for them to bring it to bear against citizens, so the official options are limited to smearing people and then railroading them in court, or convince a certain part of the bureaucracy that they are literal terrorists.
