The argument isn't that more people will vote democrat in 2020. It's that more people (esp. working class non-partisan whites that allowed Trump to win in 2016) will stay home because the GOP and Trump haven't responded strongly enough. That might be true, I don’t spend a lot of energy deducing who’s controlled opposition or whatever. The key takeaway to me is that there are millions of sane people who still want law and order and don’t like seeing their cities burn or being called Nazis for the crime of existing as a white person. It’s not really about Democrat vs Republican, though the upcoming election clouds that.

The entire last week has been people who don't understand force or the use of force, opining on how force should be used.

If you've got a burner account on any social media site, find one of those "they should have let him go" people and ask them, "write a specific regulation that tells a cop when it's OK to let a guy go when he has stolen a weapon, and when he is allowed to shoot". They can't do it. None of these idiots calling for police reform can write a single usable regulation.

The rule for taking someone seriously is their willingness to discuss the tradeoffs. Not generally, not "agree with me and then we'll work out the details", either they can have the hard conversation and agree to a rule or their entire opinion should be discarded.

ActBlue is a funding platform, kind of like IndieGogo. Any lefty/liberal organization can sign up to collect their funding on it. Presumably ActBlue itself takes a cut for servicing fees, but the funds are segregated out for the target organization.

The difference is, there's a line in the Terms that says if an organization doesn't claim their funds within 30 days, those funds revert to ActBlue itself. There's "abandonment" clauses like that in many payment processors, 30 days seems a bit fast though.

So a BLM donation does get allocated to BLM. Unless they decided, fOr sOmE mYsTeRIOus rEaSOn, to just leave the money in the account and let it go to ActBlue instead. Whether that's actually happening or not has not yet been shown. I don't know what kind of disclosures are involved with ActBlue's incorporation, but if funds were abandoned it has to be recorded somewhere.

It's also just enough wiggle room for fact checkers to stamp any claim that BLM donations go to the DNC as false. Unfortunately the one Zerohedge prof letter going around doesn't make this distinction, so readers will Google the claim, see the fact check, and assume it was all bullshit.
