California just mandated masks... in all settings, including outdoors, where you can't social distance. But if you read the fine print, it pretty much is just saying, "Wear them while waiting in line for stores", "Wear them at work", and "Wear them inside stores". Which LA is still doing anyway. Maybe it'll affect the more rural areas more strongly.

Might just be a power grab. I am seeing people worrying more about Covid again now that the violence of the protests is dying down.

About a week ago my brother-in-law and father tried to go to a Best Buy in two separate instances, and they were stopped and asked for all their "bio information" or some shit and both promptly left. Un-fucking-believable.

They really are going to drag this Orwellian shit out for two years if not indefinitely aren't they (though I have a sneaking suspicion that all the media frenzy over it will "inexplicably" die out after the elections). Hell I haven't even gotten a haircut yet because it's like walking into a goddamn bio lab. So goddamn tired of this idiotic madness...

They did the right thing in leaving. No store has the right to ask such things. Easier just to buy online from Best Buy. Actually, easier to buy online, period. "They" need to watch what they are doing. People are getting pissed off.

Do you know anyone who is a hairdresser? Have a neighbor who does hair. She cuts mine. Plan to keep going to her. No need to go to the Navy base, go through the main gate, wait in line. Now I just go by and ring the doorbell. Sit down in the chair and have a nice talk with the neighbor and her roommate while what little hair I have is cut. My almost-three-week-old granddaughter has more hair than I do. She looks more like her father every day.

While I'm scattershooting, see no way there will be any Major League Baseball this year. Far as the NFL goes, don't give a fuck but they'll either have to play in front of all the fans who care to come or no fans at all. To do anything else invites lawsuits from season ticket holders deprived of their seats. And figure the odds of a whole stadium of NFL fans meekly submitting to any "protocols". Likely the same for NBA and the NHL. But I don't care about them, either.

Have only seen a few changes in my life due to the house arrests over the Chinese Flu. No longer shop at Costco, even though my wife told me yesterday getting in is no problem now. Go to Walmart only for prescriptions. Shop either on base or online. Still only go to the bank once a month. No longer go to the public library anyway - easier just to buy books/magazines online. While outside walking never wear a mask. See others wearing them but they say nothing to me, and I to them. Since am at home most of the time anyway no impact there. But my life is nothing like most people's lives. No job to go to, no kids to take hither and yon. No kids in the house, just the two of us.

Nevertheless, it has already been made very clear that the statewide one-size-fits-all house arrests has been one of the dumbest things ever done in this country. Everything after two weeks has been a political power trip, not science-based at all. Still cannot believe all these little Hitlers didn't realize when you put your state under house arrest, tax revenues go way down. But now people see just how quick elected officials - I would never call them leaders - will go right into dictator mode. We have seen ZERO leadership at the state/county/city levels, in my opinion. Just a bunch of elected officials and unelected bureaucrats getting off on power trips. But these fucks have NEVER missed a paycheck, so they don't give a flying fuck about those out of work, especially those who cannot collect unemployment and the many small business owners who couldn't get loans and have lost everything. We've also gotten to see law enforcement nationwide violate people's civil rights under the color of "enforcing" these statewide house arrests. The more or less gradual relaxation/ending of statewide house arrests has been just enough to stave off major rioting and violence. Otherwise, believe you'd have seen angry people who just want to go to work/school/church making common cause with the BLM people. Then the shit would have REALLY hit the fan - people of all races fighting shoulder-to-shoulder against "them", and I don't believe "they" would win.

Believe the vast majority of people, least the intelligent ones, have already internalized this Chinese flu thing - they understand the risk, or lack thereof, and will just factor it into their lives, once they are left alone again to live their lives. Personally, have been way over this shit for quite some time.

The coronavirus was present in two large Italian cities in December, more than two months before the first case was detected, a national health institute study of waste water has found.
That suggests the virus appeared in Italy around the same time it was first reported in China.
Researchers discovered genetic traces of Sars-CoV-2 - as the virus is officially known - in samples of waste water collected in Milan and Turin at the end of last year, and Bologna in January, the ISS institute said in a statement seen by AFP on Friday.

The results “help to understand the start of the circulation of the virus in Italy,” the ISS said.

I'm mostly past worrying about getting the coof even though I am here in New England. I'll be honest though and say I actually don't mind wearing a mask because of my privacy autism and now that it is socially acceptable I'll likely keep wearing one long after the wuflu is gone. Part III of the Magic ADA Card Saga.

Here's the sequel to the Magic ADA Card. TL;DR--they fucking work. OK, maybe I oversold it a tad, and I've yet to try it in a Costco. Here are other places I've tried it:

• Big 5: Worked. However, they tried to keep me stuck in the entrance and offered to get the item I wanted (guns, BTW, which were picked clean already). I wasn't interested so I left without any drama.
• Baskin Robbins: Cashier girl tried to stop me. Handing the card, her NPC script encountered a fatal exception and then she treated me like a normal person.
• Other: Still many places don't really give a shit if you're maskless so I didn't need to play the card.

Here's an update. Literally yesterday CA Governor ordered everyone to wear masks in public. I've had enough of VirusRegime and VirusTyrants and my anger has given way to a sense of bemusement. I finally decided to approach the Final Boss: COSTCO. The wholesale giant had made itself a grand reputation by being the chief enforcers of VirusRegime and there's that Twitter video of that wagie fag confiscating a full shopping cart because the shopper wasn't wearing a mask. To make extra sure, in addition to my Magic ADA card, I had a printed copy of this letter from the CEO with the specific language "This requirement does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to individuals who are unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition" underlined. Result?

The check-in guy only glanced at the letter, not even reading it. "Every day there's one person who comes in with the paper," he said. Bonus: we had a little chat about how the mask rule is nothing but a power play by the government. He told me he would print out an exemption for himself, but feels constrained by the fact that he's an employee.

For the whole of my trip, I could barely contain my shit-eating grin.

Updates from me because I haven't posted in the Wuhan thread in a bit. So we are STILL in phase 1, most of the province is in phase 2 still, and it doesn't seem like the fear mongering is going to end. Where I am at, outside of the 1 faggy larper jogger protest, no one really gives a shit, and most people are still in COVID mind. It has been 3 months since my quarantine began and funny thing is that as I type this right now I have had one of the worst lung infections that I've had in years. Started having some issues last month, went away, got better, went away, and then beginning of this week it got real fucking bad.

My Mom ended up getting the same issue at the beginning of the month, since she is in the more sensitive group she got real sick. The doctors gave her the run around, while fucking around with her medications. The pharmacy has gotten really fucking bad over the pandemic, we usually catch their mistakes, but it's gotten brutal over the last couple of months. So they referred her to get a COVID test, she ended up going, and her test results luckily came back NEGATIVE. So using OCCAM'S RAZOR, I am going to assume that I am also negative. I am still going to likely just get a test after I recover just to be sure, but fuck this is bad. I am in the proponent that because of the lock-downs lasting so long, it's starting to fuck with my immunity system. Today I am feeling a bit better, been on some hardcore antibiotics the last couple of days, so it's helping drain some of the fluid that's been stuck in there all of this time.

Besides all of that though CERB they ended up fucking with all of the people that where on EI. What they ended up doing was they ended up giving the retroactive payment along with the other back payment. Hence it ended up balancing out somewhat, though I was one of those fuckers that I ended up getting an extra payment on accident as well. So what they ended up doing to balance it out, was cut off June, so if you didn't save your money in April; When everyone was still freaking the fuck out, you're pretty much fucked for July cycle of bills. I luckily been squirreling away a good chunk of every payment, because I knew that they where going to pull this type of shit.
They ended up extending it another 8 weeks, but we will end up getting our cheques roughly sometime mid point next month. Again I didn't go full out hysteric preparing for the booglo, along with I managed my fiances well enough to make sure my bills where all paid early.

Now they are requiring the masks in all commercial facilities with in the next week, and I have been seeing a shit load more people wearing masks over my outings the last month. The job market is terrible, but because we are still in phase 1 it likely isn't going to change. A lot of my friends in the service industry are still all out of work and my other friends that are in essential sectors are experiencing huge shortage of hours, along with generally there is just no work to do when they are in. The job market was not that great before the pandemic, we never quite recovered from 2008, but this is 2008 on steroids it seems like. I am not in the proponent that we still need to be locking down like this, it's fucking retarded. The people that ended up dying mostly where in the nursing homes, along with the migrant workers are all getting sick now with this shit in the agricultural sector. This was their excuse to keep us in phase 1, because of those workers working in the fields. The health unit is fucking brutal and the sheer and utter level of incompetence is beyond repair at this point. I guess luckily the testing is a lot better, they made it so anybody can get a test now, unlike in the first 2 months of the pandemic where only essential workers can get tested.

People are just getting sick of these lock-downs and there is a level of resistance to it. Though there are still the Karen's that are arguing for them, despite we are seeing the huge negative consequences associated with them. It took them 3 months into the pandemic to start doing the normal common sense things, it's fucking embarrassing.

Mr. Dress-up is still in his cottage being a fucking faggot as usual, and the epic fail of losing that UN seat made me lol too hard. I wonder how much fucking money we wasted on trying to get that seat, I am so sick of the UN. Seeing the US is about to go Elmer J. Fudd 1766; I will be anticipating Canada to start doing the same, and getting rid of this joke ass parliament. These lefty faggots are ruining everything and it has to come to an end. I have never been so angry in my life, it is very hard not to get demoralized, but we'll have our day...
