This kind of thing always confuses me a bit. It's like that weird detachment from what just happened when I see people talk so nonchalantly about this kind of shit. I mean if it was my family member, I'd be raging, I'd be crying about how they let him bleed to death on a table. I'd be barely able to keep my composure just mentioning a family member was shot and bled to death while wanna be medics stuck band aids or tampons on them or whatever. The way this dude is talking it's like they asked him about a stolen bike or something and he's like, "Yuh...I saw the bike over there, then when I turned back around, it was gone."
Most non-white LEGAL immigrants are hardcore pro-America. The problem is his dad was brought as a young child and so absorbed all of the stupid black victimization shit. My dad was an African immigrant and he almost sounded like a pol user sometimes when talking about hood rats.
That's because most legal immigrants don't take for granted how great this country is and what it gave them. The old maxim is true, that most people who are doing good don't leave their home country so people who immigrate to America are usually leaving bad situations, oppressive governments, poverty, etc. They actually know what it's like to not have anything. They also appreciate coming here and having their hard work and perseverance pay off with success, which most likely they know they would have never gotten in their home country so they tend to be very grateful and patriotic.
I had a friend who was a cop in the 80s and he told me one time he pulled over a dude for speeding. Guy was clearly an eastern european immigrant. So the guy fought the ticket by requesting a trial. During the trial the cop provided all sorts of speed gun shit and whatever to show the guy was speeding. He said the judge asked the guy why he requested a trial when he was clearly guilty and the guy told the judge that where he comes from you can't get a fair trial for anything so even if he's guilty of a traffic infraction he requests the trial just because he's grateful that in America he can have one. It kind of gives you perspective.
This is the difference between someone who's really been oppressed and is grateful, and a bunch of feminists, rioters, protestors, and liberals, all screaming that they're oppressed and this country sucks. They've never actually had to do without. Someone once said that college kids should be forced to live one year in a country that has whatever political system that they constantly scream America should change to.
