I'm gonna be real and say that being able to handle a rush of customers without wanting to fucking murder every single fucking one of them should count as a skill and anybody in a job that requires dealing with customers should be paid more. Too many people see minimum wage workers and they treat them like shit and nobody gets paid enough for having to put up with people that just drain on your soul and your will to live.

Any job where you could potentially run into a Karen should have hazard pay.

The employer has the duty to provide a safe environment and that would mean assholes like that get banned and if they try to come back, arrested.
