Well, that's just about the most awful and horrifying thing I've read all day. How is he allowed to roam free? What laws in Sweden allowed such a madman to get off the hook on both his sentence and how much of his sentence he served? Isn't there anyone in Sweden who would object to this?

Did some quick digging on this case. Apparently they were first going to charge him with murder, which can lead to a minimum of 10 years in prison - he got 14. It was, however, changed to manslaughter ('dråp') where the maximum is ten years prison and the minimum six. In Sweden it is possible to be released on a parole after two thirds of the time has been served.

Kriminalvården refused his request for transfer at first, but then he was transferred to Hinseberg (women's prison). There this poor little dismemberer has then threatened the staff and refused to work. And threatened to kill a rabbit, the bastard. Kriminalvården threatened to postpone his release and he wrote a letter where he asked for understanding because this was his first time being in women's prison ("what, you can't threaten everyone around you in here??? oh silly me, I thought that was what we girls do~ "). In a nutshell: he was a model prisoner while in men's prison, after the tranfer to women's prison he starts doing what troons do.

There was an article published in Expressen that was trying to explain why a male criminal in women's prison is a bad idea, but I don't really know what Swedes in general think about this. Going to guess they also have the 'grumble-about-the-absurdity-of-it-all-but-no-one-listens' -thing going on. Or they think this is Stunning and Brave because Sweden is a case study in insanity.

Plus it's not hard to find gender neutral family/disabled toilets or changing rooms although you might need ask for special keys.

It seems like since detransition has become more common the doctors in finland are getting more cautious, though I wouldn't say the finnish troons were completely powerless. Yeah, when everyone and everything is referred as an 'it', no one can complain about misgendering. I mostly avoid the humanities people, as they typically have absorbed all the worst aspects of the US-style identity politics without the cultural background to them, but the natural science circles tend to be a lot more relaxed. At most I've seen a couple of stickers about trans rights when moving about. It's harder to get people to sympathise with you when your first arguments are about transing children.

No, murder is a pre-meditated act, whereas manslaughter is unplanned killing in the heat of the moment. Basically if you didn't deliberately plan to do it and just lashed out with whatever you were holding, or became enraged and started stabbing and chopping, with the result that someone dies, it's manslaughter. Involuntary manslaughter is when it stems from accidental or negligent behaviour.

Ok, I know this website is for laughing at lolcows, but dear god I feel so bad for her. I just spent a couple hours watching her videos and she really seems like she's struggling with more intense versions of things we all deal with.
