That was BS? We actually had gang issues in my school so it was considered reasonable to restrict the clothing we were allowed to wear. Didn't know the code happened in other schools as well.

It might've been necessary in some areas like inner city public schools, but I remember reading the policy of my school on it when I was in probably 8th grade and it barred people from wearing red or blue bandanas at school. It was one of those stupid 'one size fits all' decisions. My county has been 95+ percent white for as long as anyone can remember and I don't think we've ever had any gangs unless you count the tweakers that cook meth in tents in the woods as a gang. I'd imagine it had something to do with some fundamentalists that decided we needed that bullshit out here when it was really only an issue in urban schools.

It's so ridiculous that they think the government is going to round them up and ship them off to Guantanamo Bay for merely protesting in the streets. If the government wanted them gone or dead, that would have already happened. If they want to be real revolutionaries, go protest in N. Korea or Saudi Arabia. They don't bother with rubber bullets or tear gas. If you're lucky you'll get a bullet to the head. If not, you'll end up at a black site being chopped up slowly or tortured until you're brain is mush.

We do not live in a country that disappears people for speaking out against the government. It pisses me off that they are acting like they do. They are so privileged that they have no concept of what oppression really is.

Yeah, Westboro Baptist church are really the ONLY radical Christians I can think of that still remained and had some form of mainstream public visibility by the mid-late 2000s. And even then their only public awareness was really just a meme.
I think a lot of people have forgotten that that shit was alive and well in the 80s and 90s and that overzealous shit probably led to a good amount of the edgy Reddit atheists these days. Also was the progenitor for a lot of YouTube content which essentially amounted to: "FUCK YOU DAD I DON'T WANNA GO TO CHURCH ANYMORE"

Such highlights as: Blaming Dungeons & Dragons for a sudden 'upswing' in Satanism and 'ritual murders' among teenagers. Blaming Doom and Marilyn Manson for Columbine. The bullshit that took off in schools where you couldn't wear a red shirt anymore because it indicated gang affiliation, wearing a trenchcoat or an edgy band shirt made you the next Dylan Klebold, and eventually led to kids getting suspended for drawing an uppercase L because if you turn the letter L sideways it looks like a gun.

However, as annoying as they were, I would still prefer them over the current Woke Cult destabilizing fucking everything. They just bitched about music, video games and movies. They didn't burn down buildings, beat the fuck out of people or flip police vehicles.

The worst things that came out of the moral policing of the 80s-90s were the PMRC sticker and the ESRB. Both would have been done sooner or later. And in both cases, they bascially became a symbol of what music and games (with M ratings) were cool. IIRC these moral busybodies did get some works/people cancelled (Body Count / 2 Live Crew). But not on the scale the left has done in recent years.
