Compared to Fallout 4 though, those light RPG elements make it look like D&D levels of RPG elements. I still can't believe they just dropped Skills in 4. God, what a travesty.

The hate boner people have for realistic graphics honestly comes across as autistic. It comes across like a kid who only watches cartoons because having a million colors is the only way to retain his attention.

People would have less of a Hateboner for it if the entire Games Journalism Medium didn't have it as the only metric they measured games by for 2 console generations and became a buzzword, If a game like Horizon Zero Dawn had something to it beyond "Look how pretty and realistic everything is." I would be far less scathing on it, how about they relocate some of the resources they spent on "Making each blade of grass properly wave in the wind" and make the talent tree actually worth while..or make a boss that isn't a fat ass sack of HP that completely negates the main gameplay gimmick because you can't lure it into traps because it is literally an Immobile Turret.

I got bugged out of starting the civil war questline in skyrim twice because I completed too much of the game before I reached there.

I didn't touch any of the DLC's and only did the main quest minimaly because you're blocked off from some shit in the beginning. But from just doing side quests and collecting words and artifacts, winds up causing the game to fucking break.

I don't like the cast of Persona 5. They're incredibly over the top obnoxious, neurotic, whiny, bratty, and it's not just one character it's all of them. I'm honestly very puzzled by this because 3 and 4 did a pretty good job making the characters act like teenagers without being so annoying you wanted to murder them.

Something went wrong with the writing this time and it sucks.

I hated the cat a lot less than the stupid bear from 4.

I just started The Last of Us Part II, and so far, it is far from being the worst video game I have ever played. It also is far from being the best video game I have ever played, due to the nonstop nihilism. I would rather play Uncharted 5, that game series has more of a fun tone to it.

Games like NBA Jam, NBA Street, Blitz, sure. Absolutely. They were great arcade titles that diversified the sports genre.

Skyrim blew my mind back in the day because before that I had really only played mario and zelda games, so that level of detail and scale was unprecedented for me. I think that's how it was for a lot of other people, too-Skyrim, I think, is the first western RPG to really reach out and market itself so that even 'non-gamers' know what it is, the same way FF7 kind of did. Every now and then I'll play it again for nostalgia's sake, but I definitely get why people don't care for it that much, it has a lot of design flaws and it's pretty light on rpg elements.

Skyrim was good and I understand why people that don't know that it is part of a series really like it. Battlespire and Oblivion are the only TES games that have disappointed me. And Redguard, always forget that one. It's an unpopular opinion but I really like Bethesda, I have been playing their janky games since Future Shock and they are the premier developer of the western style of Slavic jank.
