Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Do feminists know what the average Trump supporter/republican actually believes?

No. As a group they cannot conceive of a "theory of mind" for conservative people. They are unable to even fathom that people can think in ways they do not.

We asked more than two thousand American visitors to fill out the Moral Foundations Qyestionnaire. One-third of the time they were asked to fill it out normally, answering as themselves. One-third of the time they were asked to fill it out as they think a “typical liberal” would respond. One-third of the time they were asked to fill it out as a “typical conservative” would respond. This design allowed us to examine the stereotypes that each side held about the other. More important, it allowed us to assess how accurate they were by comparing people’s expectations about “typical” partisans to the actual responses from partisans on the left and the right)’ Who was best able to pretend to be the other?

The results were clear and consistent. Moderates and conservatives were most accurate in their predictions, whether they were pretending to be liberals or conservatives. Liberals were the least accurate, especially those who described themselves as “very liberal.” The biggest errors in the whole study came when liberals answered the Care and Fairness questions while pretending to be conservatives. When faced with questions such as “One of the worst things a person could do is hurt a defenseless animal” or ”Justice is the most important requirement for a society,” liberals assumed that conservatives would disagree. If you have a moral matrix built primarily on intuitions about care and fairness (as equality), and you listen to the Reagan [i.e., conservative] narrative, what else could you think? Reagan seems completely unconcerned about the welfare of drug addicts, poor people, and gay people. He’s more interested in fighting wars and telling people how to run their sex lives.

If you don’t see that Reagan is pursuing positive values of Loyalty, Authority, and Sanctity, you almost have to conclude that Republicans see no positive value in Care and Fairness. You might even go as far as Michael Feingold, a theater critic for the liberal newspaper the Village Voice, when he wrote:

Republicans don’t believe in the imagination, partly because so few of them have one, but mostly because it gets in the way of their chosen work, which is to destroy the human race and the planet. Human beings, who have imaginations, can see a recipe for disaster in the making; Republicans, whose goal in life is to profit from disaster and who don’t give a hoot about human beings, either can’t or won’t. Which is why I personally think they should be exterminated before they causeany more harm.

One of the many ironies in this quotation is that it shows the inability of a theater critic-who skillfully enters fantastical imaginary worlds for a living-to imagine that Republicans act within a moral matrix that differs from his own. Morality binds and blinds.

No need to guess how they'll react when Mommy Hillary will pass away. They'll react like that "lady" when they'll stop acting like zombies.

And speaking of zombies, that old clip of Bob Hope aged well.

....speaking of zombies, democrats and clips that aged well...

masters of horror literally predicted zombies voting democrat and getting pissed off and killing everybody when they still didn't win

I think Tucker has a pretty good read on the pulse of the American public and I dont think doing nothing is going to resonate well with the American public. What effect that will have we probably wont really be able to tell for at least a month.
Another worthwhile aspect of this to discuss is the fact that too many of our state and local authorities have abdicated their responsibilities to their people. Along with this is the Legislative Branch that bitches and moans about being overridden by the Executive Branch but then decides to do nothing for 40 years when it comes to festering problems in the United States. I'm thrilled to have an Executive that is willing to let these feckless cowards stew in their own lack of responsibility.

President Trump probably could do something, but should he do something about this? As others have said, this is not the Executive's job. The President of the United States already has enough power, perhaps too much power thanks to his cowardly, lazy counterparts in government. I don't want the Executive Branch to take more power, I want it to cede power back to the groups who are ultimately responsible and frankly better suited to wield it. The national government can stay the fuck out of state and local affairs as was intended.

It seems Trump's strategy with Chaz and the other areas and ideals like it has formed.

1: Clamp down hard in D.C., show it can be done, and can be done more or less humanely.
2: Lambast and redirect, turn the narrative that he is doing nothing due to weakness into "Doing Nothing To Show The World How It Is".
3: Turn Up The Heat, put the democrats governors and mayors on a slow boil, with the prior two sections cutting off their ways out.

It's... a strategy. Not entirely convinced of its effectiveness personally. Still, it turns a No-Win situation into one he -might- be able to leverage into a win.

Also, as a secondary topic on the swamp. Draining the swamp was always the goal of Term #1, getting rid of the Swamp Creatures is Term #2. You can't go hard on that in the first term without affording your enemies a ton of ammo to use against you come reelection. Its part of why the establishment left is so desperate to sink Trump before November. If they had nothing at risk they'd simply wait him out for 8 years, instead they have pulled every desperation card in their cabinet and severely undermined their own party, credibility, and power. That should be your clear indicator that they see a Term #2 as something far worse than a Term #1.

It's a great strategy for the 2nd year of his term, makes Democrats look weak nationally and gets a Republican wave rolling at the local level. I'm not so sure about it as a national Presidential election strategy, though. For national elections people vote on how they feel generally, and a general sense of chaos is terrible for an incumbent.

Having said that, there's still 4 months to go in the cycle, and it's possible this is forgotten by November because something stupid comes up. If the riots fade away, they might be "naturally" forgotten and a general feeling of optimism returns during a rebuild and Covid re-open phase. The main question now is how long the BLM lunatics can keep things going, if they have the energy (and the unemployment checks) to sperg for another 4 months.

Mind you, I don't have the faintest idea what he intends to do or if he intends to do anything at all when he gets back. There's not a plan in a hidden forum anywhere and he and I have never spoken directly, I mostly just meant that Null doesn't care for the Chris forums anymore because Chris never does anything interesting and the people who exclusively visit the Chris forums tend to be some of the worst users who are trying to glom on to a 'cow' that hasn't been interesting or relevant to the site at large for more than half a decade.

If any forums hit the chopping block, I wouldn't be surprised if Chris' made the list. If A&H hit the chopping block, I wouldn't be surprised since it's already happened several times, but I'm not in the market of worrying about things that haven't happened and that haven't been announced. For the time being, I'm just along for the ride.
Get this into Null's ear, HK: sell Chris and buy Kurt Eichenwald. Also short Spoony.

I'd speculate the hope is that it eventually becomes background noise. If these guys keep it up for 4 months without any signs of re-escalating, most people will kinda shrug and assume its mostly burnt out with what remains being hangers on.

The support for this speculation is blatant democrat attempts to reignite it.

Based Serena. I think this belongs here because despite here because her call to wind the clock back on political discourse back to an idealised 1990s, the fact is she's promoting live and let live, which is gonna trigger a lot of zealots' programming and they'll no doubt try and cancel her for the implicit endorsement of hate speech.
I don't blame her for speaking her mind. Matter of fact, everything she said rings true and I applaud her for having the balls to express her distaste with the current state of affairs.

Just dropping in first to talk about how the news is trying to keep the riots going by talking about some guy who was fucking retarded enough to grab a police taser and attack the man with it. Of course this stupid fuck was going to get gunned down.

No sympathy and it's clear what the fuck the news and that shitty black church is doing.

Archiving this most recent Donald Trump tweet because it's so important:

"I have authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S. with up to 10 years in prison, per the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act, or such other laws that may be pertinent.....

.....This action is taken effective immediately, but may also be used retroactively for destruction or vandalism already caused. There will be no exceptions!"

Get ready to see some shit boys.
"Drumpf is using ex post facto laws just like Hitler REEEEE!"-The TDS crew, probably.

Edit: Checked the replies, they didn't take that bait. Just a bunch of "Bunker Boy" bullshit, blaming him for Wu Flu deaths, and accusations that the order was pointless hand-waving because the law was already in effect, as if such laws aren't so selectively enforced that special prodding is required.

Except for this idiot, who thankfully only got 6 upvotes

I wonder if TWitter Safety is still run by that former Clinton staffer?

No, actually you can deny it.

Lol @ r/politics. 15,365 upvotes @ 91%.
This sounds strong, but it’s true: Trump is the worst criminal in history, undeniably. There has never been a figure in political history who was so passionately dedicated to destroying the projects for organized human life on earth in the near future.
Trump isn't even nearly as bad as Obama, he of many wars and unlimited corruption, let alone some huge criminal. There are really people stupid enough to believe this. I am... dismayed...

It's aesthetics. It's all aesthetics.

And it happens on the right too. All those Never Trumpers and other assorted losers were fine with the GWBs and McCains and Romneys, who didn't conserve a goddamn thing. But the most conservative President since Reagan? Nah, can't have him! He says mean things. Muh civility!

You forgot the part where he passed out drunk in the middle of a wendy's parking lot, was on probation for child abuse, gave one of the cops a concussion, and the DA blatantly lied about it. My favorite is when he said the thug was being civil, because nothing more civil than giving someone a concussion.

Tucker went off on Trump on the craziness going on and I agree with him.

Trump looks weaker than ever for a supposed "law & order" candidate. I've supported him on most things but I think he's completely botched his handling of this and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Could cost him votes.

Tucker is a cuck and just wants to shut it down and get back to being a principled loser as fast as possible instead of risking anything actually changing. Trump shouldn't do shit. These people should be allowed to go out and do what they want for as long as they want. A disproportionate response from Trump, the military, the police, right wing citizens, etc is exactly what they want so the media can turn the fake victims into real martyrs. Trump knows the problem, you and I know the problem, the public are fucking idiots though and will not wake up and take action until they absolutely have to. People need a kick in the fucking teeth and I say let them have it, let them see the consequences of hiding inside watching Big Brother season 5000 or 'just wanting to be left alone and grill' while the inmates take over the asylum. All Trump should do is put images of the riots and the rhetoric of the people behind them on constant blast. "These are the people saying I'm the bad guy."

They should let the CHOP your dick off zone run as long as it can sustain itself. It's a microcosm of nationbuilding on fast forward where the left proves themselves wrong about everything. The first thing these galaxy brains did were establish a border, build a wall, and get guns lmao. Then they started whining about needing food and supplies, yeah no shit that's called capitalism. You honestly couldn't ask for better proof against the ideas of the left.

I see absolutely no value in interrupting these people.

I was for Trump using military force during the first week of the riots when it was clear the mayors and governors wouldn't do shit and nip it in the bud. After that first week of shit, the reasons of using the military was like burning down your house to kill a spider.

Tucker's anger is partially with Trump saying that strategy out in the open rather than keep quiet and let the fuckers burn their shit. Kinda makes people think that Trump could have done something when he is like Im gonna sit back and relax.

The other half is conservatives cucking hard to BLM rather than defending the police and American history to the point the leader of the Republicans in the House and Senate are okay with removing references to the Confederacy. That is the bigger long term problem that Tucker is going after the GOP for. That Trump did what he did but the response from the GOP establishment is super disturbing. And he is showing so called conservatives talking like first year college students after taking history 101.

Since the Tulsa riots are part of the talk, let's discuss who then, like now, is responsible for those riots...

See, the white chick told the police (Source: Faggy ass Wikipedia) that he only grabbed her arm when he tripped.

The cops picked him up when the paper came out.

The blacks armed up and freaked out because of what the paper said.

White people freaked out. Some wanted to do what the paper said, others wanted to help defend the jail.

What did the local media print?

THAT A FUCKING LYNCH MOB WAS GOING TO KILL THE KID.

The WHOLE fucking thing was cracked off by the fucking main stream media of the time, who caused the entire fucking thing then got to gleefully report on the race riots, the killings, the burnings, the whole fucking thing.

It's obvious that since 1920 the press has been the enemy of civilization.

Well, no friend who will support them with blind unconditional agreement that they are NOT overreacting and are making the RIGHT choices, at any rate. They probably had friends before they went current year hyper-political, but have since excised them all as "not real friends' because they don't agree 100% with them on everything.

I've also found that therapy is just something the home-bound Karen class does these days, for entertainment if not ego stroking. No matter if they have serious issues, mild issues, or no issues at all, going to a therapist is for them what a book club or knitting circle was to Grandma, it's what you do to socialize, everyone has their ongoing psyche autopsy to talk about. Instead of discussing recipes or the weather, the neighborhood single-Moms commiserate over boxed wine and "here's what my therapist said" sessions. You're the weird one if you ARE mentally stable and don't pay for a personal mental coach to get that way.... like how eveyrone belongs to a gym and think the woman down the block who keeps in shape just walking the dog and working her garden is "weird".

I have a relative deeply entrenched in lefty academia and is part of said neighborhood "mental health and well being" organic coffee club, and is constantly telling me how I should get therapy because, even though I'm not stressed right now, "It just makes you feel better". Except I can see from 50 paces back she isn't benefiting from decades of it, she's the same lady I've always known, though maybe that's a plus considering she HAS had a lot of personal stress (two cancer scares and is now the only surviving member of her family branch, having lost all her siblings and mother in the last decade)

To her, it's like a weekly TV show or novel series, going to a therapist is just what "normal" people do, and if your therapist doesn't make you feel good, find one that does.... like changing the channel. They aren't in it for a cure, they're in it because going is a safe routine that is popular among peers. Maybe it works for her, but, I'll bet a lot go because social pressure makes it seem like thats' what "everyone" does?

At least she's smart enough to bail on the quacks when she shopped around for one, especially the anti-male one that within 14 minutes was trying to convince her she'd been molested as a child by her father... before being told the guy DIED before she was born.
So............

It's church.

Also modern black historians have lied about the role of the national guard, who went in to protect the blacks but got shot at by them. They also claim that the fire department didn't put out fires because muh racism when in reality the blacks tried to murder firemen so they just retreated.
