Why is the commenter acting like the cousin is an embarrassed middle school girl getting her first period as opposed to a 26 year old guy who has no use whatsoever for pads? Has the "trans women have periods" thing been pushed so hard that people think it's actually true now? Are they giving OP's cousin the benefit of the doubt and assuming he uses them for incontinence like CWC? I'd really like to know what was going through their head.

But basically the doctors questioned why exactly nonbinary people who feel gender dysphoria should get cosmetic treatments like breast surgeries and so on based on the fact that they feel dysphoric because of gender, while other people who do not feel dysphoric because of gender but because of other reasons (women having too small or too big breasts, those who were born deformed, and so on) do not get cosmetic treatment that is paid by the government. And they said that there isn't enough evidence that these treatments actually help these nonbinary people in the long run.

The OP mentions he came out as trans to his family only a short time ago (and according to her, got kicked out because of it), so I think it's safe to assume he's "pre-everything" or at least pre-op. And like someone else already said, this isn't a middle-schooler going through puberty, it's a grown-ass man. Even if he'd had a pelvic pouch installed and was required to wear protection to keep it from leaking disgusting gunk all over the place, adults who are considered mentally competent and are not under legal guardianship are expected to be able to purchase their own hygiene products.

Yeah but I asked how "nonbinary treatment" differs from other trans treatment. Because I was confused that they complain specifically about non-binaries not getting treatment. I guess regular MtFs and FtMs are already too boring and you gotta score new points in the oppression olympics.
