I find the idea that there's a community of amateur photographers/MGTOWs who are very happy to share that they keep anime waifus in their rooms funny in an absurdest sense.
Like a more nihilistic version of Lars and the Real Girl, but real and there's a lot of them running about.

I once had the pleasure of evicting a roommate who owned one of these.

After he bought it, we (third roommate and I) mocked him mercilessly for it and I thought the shame would have driven him into hiding, but no. He would dress it up in people clothes and leave it sitting around the apartment outside of his bedroom (even at my FUCKING DINING TABLE) and that was just too fucking far.

The very final straw that got us to get serious about removing him though was when we found it posed in a fetal position in the bathroom tub with rope around its wrists. To this day the mental image of that freshly used sex doll curled up like it wanted to die still occasionally haunts my nightmares.

Thanks OP for reminding me of all this anew. I probably won't join you all in this thread again but I hope you find some funny shit.

I suppose it's a start. For formatting, I suggest removing any stray attachments, mainly the two commision.PNG images, and try not to feature such large screenshots, especially when you're switching back and forth between full size and thumbnail.

OP missed out on the best part of that doll forum: There's a subsection for people who are into vinyl/latex inflatable dolls. You know, those horrid-looking "novelty" things they sell in sex shops that look nothing like the pornstar images on the box? Guys actually fuck those, for real, and like it enough to join a hobby forum about it.

Also, that screenshotted thread is just two SmartDolls. They're not sex dolls at all to my knowledge, more along the lines of the BJD hobby. That brand is basically Volks Dollfie Dream knock-offs for the Tumblr crowd.

Honestly if there's a community about this and the content they create comes off as absolutely "thank god I'm not like this" emotions and reactions it could be something to see for maybe a month or two. But that doesn't mean I would say this isn't worth a thread considering that the new age of sex dolls has also brought in a new generation of creeps.
