Not to sound like a pessimist but... what if it does the opposite lol. I mean its bad game but not for reasons people give it, but because its basically a movie game. It should gotten 0.1 user score negative rating on both games :P

edit: But if there was a -10 rating. I would so pick it. To just kind of mock those types of games. MASTERPIECE :P

Gameplay and mechanics wise, the game is fine. The probably is story and story direction. The gay sex scene for no reason, the poor characterization. Even as a movie, the second game is bad.

PC is probably in the worst position because it's already all digital and they have all their eggs already in a single basket(Steam).

It's too tempting a fruit for them to resist. Just topple one target and you have 99% of the market share and every user's info under one roof.

What single basket? You've got steam far and away the biggest but you've still got alternatives like GOG and Epic. Steam just jumps ahead because of its Green Light programme which lets all sorts of weird shit to be out.

GOG is only good for old releases and releases from Poland and other delightful European hellholes.

Steam is the overwhelming platform for PC games. Nothing else matches it in size or even comes close to it. GOG, Epic, and Origin don't even have a 10% market share when combined.

They didn't have time because they insisted on rewriting the story every so often, jettisoning tons of work, because Dreckmann had no idea what he was doing. The plot tumours and hordes of named characters who don't really go anywhere is absolute evidence of this.

Given the kind of person Joel was in the first game, they really should have included Esther. It would have shown that Joel was settling back in, regaining his humanity. If Ellie showed him how to be caring again, Esther would have been the logical conclusion where he finally moves on with his life. And since Joel is going to die anyway, at least then he has some dignity towards the end of his life.

I also don't like that comment that she was "too focused on Joel's arc." Joel was the player character from the last game, players are going to want to see how he's changed since then. Ellie's important and is the protagonist, I get that, but there needs to be some form of follow up with Joel too.

Oh but then they wouldn't be able to develop all those useless side characters no one gives a shit about and they wouldn't get to develop Abby, one of the most loathsome characters in recent memory. This game's priorities are fucked.

No. This can't be real. This is too stupid to be real.

Nobody loudly announces that they're on the rags in public because nobody cares. Sorry, but there's nothing taboo or shocking about menstruation. All women do it. We all know they do it. It's not stunning or brave.

Also, lol @ of course it's Dr No. We scoff at the Roger Moore era Bond films but they at least came up with new ideas and characters and things rather than just retreading old ideas, and even the bad ones ("I think he's attempting re-entry, sir!") were laughably bad rather than just plain stupid.

Thing is, I've been wholly underwhelmed by Daniel Craig Bond. Casino Royale was good. Quantum of Solace was meh. Skyfall was good. Spectre was average (despite Monica Bellucci in black stockings.) But this is just plain stupid. In the words of Judi Dench, "M," in Casino Royale, "God I miss the Cold War. It used to be that when someone fucked up as hard as you did they were gentlemanly enough to defect."

The Cosgrove Hall animated serieses of Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters might have been cheap and low budget, but they were at least faithful to the source material and actually amusing and made sense. This just looks like a vulgar display of power. "Yeah, we've got the rights to a much loved media property, now watch as we defile it in front of your very eyes with the connivance of the author's estate, and there's nothing you can do. So get back in your pod and consoome like a good little bugman."
