If we're going to have a long debate over animated pornography, that is better suited for Deep Thoughts. Given that the issue has been fought over a lot and has an impact on both freedom of speech and child safety, I'd be surprised if there isn't a relevant thread in there already.

lol nobody gets Pulitzers for weather reporting. Unless he plans to cover the aftermath of a particularly bad storm or natural disaster really well (if nothing else, Japan would be the country to do that in...)

Or maybe he's going to do a hard-hitting expose on the injustice of anti-lolicon legislation.

Now I'm no expert on Japan's politics, but the last time I checked I think the big picture that Shinzo Abe (Japan's Prime Minister) is facing right now is the criticism he's getting from wanting Japan to authorize its military again (If I'm wrong then please correct me).

I'm pretty sure lolicon and shota are the last things on his mind...

I don't really fully know the politics but they just built a massive "destroyer" that's suspiciously similar to an aircraft carrier the only outward difference is lack of a superstructure/control tower. They basically want to stay nonmilitary if they can with the option to quickly arm up if the region destabilizes. They absolutely hate war and violence there. I went to tour the castle in osaka and while they seemed to appreciate valor in a romantic way, the general impression that I got is they viewed their wars as tragic and exploitative. I imagine that much of the population views expansion of the military as a step backwards.

OMG this nutter! I have some old Intel on him courtesy of lurking on AnimeNewsNetwork. He was so vocal about his love for Lolis that they made not one, but two Hey Answerman! articles about him titled "Flake of the Week". He has been a plague to the Anime community for a number of years and keeps getting worse (his Facebook is toxic and had posts where he was saying really horrible things about his current girlfriend).
