I wasn’t too thrilled with the ending, but since it’s technically a prequel it was kinda inevitable, but I really enjoyed the hell out of that game.

Its too bad, since everywhere I've seen Beseria is universally described as the better of the tales games and to not even bother with the first since the mechanics are worse.

Zestiria suffers from the combat feeling too loose and the enemies being insanely overtuned at higher difficulties.

At max level gear you're constantly watching your HP dip down to one HP and having it suddenly resurge to 100% only to have it fall to 1 HP a split second later if you're doing stuff like HP absorb. Levels don't matter in that game, gear and their stats do. But gear and their stats are entirely randomized and there's no good way to properly farm what you want. Also merging gear is a pain in the ass because you need a chart to see what something does for merged stats and no good charts exist in english.

It feels closer in playstyle to a western RPG with the combat. The world itself is also huge and far bigger than Berseria.

Still tough it's not as bad as Tales of Symphonia II.

Disregard any and all context; the real crime is that they assumed Abby could be as big as a pro athlete with doctors and support team.

They could literally just model her in and reduce her size by 25%. Done. Nobody would complain.

Weren't the whole trans ordeal kickstarted by people WANTING her to be trans, not people mocking her for being so? The game is a joke for all the not-so-obvious reasons.

People like Yuri Lowell because he was that borderline edgy, but still mostly chill MC that was fairly uncommon back in the mid 2000s when the very positive anime shounen protag such as Lloyd was getting more common. Also Vesperia is probably one of the most universally loved Tales in the entire series alongside Symphonia and Destiny 1. Which also helps Yuri out a lot. Leon from Destiny 1 is also banned from polls.

This isn't even new - I remember that there was a fair amount of fluffing for the box office of Armageddon to get it to the $200,000,000 mark, and that was just one of the most obvious times. Making something look more popular than it is can be done for many reasons, including bragging rights, efforts to juice real interest, and financial shenanigans.

I don't believe Sony would fudge the numbers to 'own the gamers'. But I do believe they would for many other reasons, one of them being to try and suggest that people who don't like the game are a minority who other consumers shouldn't pay attention to.

I get that he's touching on the subject that women are often sexualized in video games but there's just so many women in video games that look pretty normal, sexualized or not, and it's not like every other females in TLOU1 and 2 are more normal-looking than Abby.

I just want video games, not some pretentious college failure to launch's art-house thesis. Like I have no issue with story based games or hell even the themes Druck is trying to express in this game, but the lack of self awareness and thinking that he's "SO DEEP" can cause many other games to do the same approach, which is why it should be mocked as hard as it is. Now abby looking like chyna roided on senator armstrong's nanomachines, that's just a bonus.
