If adults have to deal with horrifying consquences because of the use of these drugs - imagine what happens to children. By the way it's recommended that adults use these drugs only for 6 months(!) but children have to use them for several years. This CAN'T be healthy.

So...if these idiots are so adamant about erasing biological sex ( ie "there are no boy or girl parts ) then what is the basis of their trans identity? What exactly are they "transing" from or into. I know identity is sacred and it's twansphobic to ask for an explaination but if I'm being forced to participate in someone's delusion I'd at least like some answers. Then again i hate going down the rabbit hole of nonsensical post modern identity politics, makes my head hurt.

That's an argument this person made in an earlier comic on this thread. They don't need to transition, they're not in the wrong body, just OTHER PEOPLE refuse to see that a penis is a GIRL PART!!!! So according to them, trans people only transition because all us mean people won't throw away sexual dimorphism to suit their whims. Not because they need to or anything. /sneed

So I read this....weird...comic yesterday when the thread here on the forums went up and I'm honestly confused as to what sort of messages I or anybody else for that matter should be taking away from Assigned Male?

That transgender kids are a thing?

That the main character is an insufferable know nothing know it all waste of her/his dad's semen?

That if I DARE to politely give gender appropriate toys to a hermaphrodite/gender fluid child at mickey dee's based on how they appear to me at first glance that I will be melted into liquid goo courtesy of trans laser eyes?

I looked up the side effects for the hormone blocker mentioned in the comic. JFC.
"Common side effects include acne, increased growth of facial hair, breakthrough bleeding in a female child during the first 2 months of treatment, dizziness, weakness, tired feeling, hot flashes, night sweats, chills, clammy skin, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, skin redness, itching, or scaling, joint or muscle pain, vaginal itching or discharge, breast swelling or tenderness, testicle pain, impotence, loss of interest in sex, depression, insomnia, memory problems, or redness, burning, itching, or swelling where the shot was given."

To be fair though every medication has side effects, and looking at this it actually is a lot less shitty than what the alternatives can be. Puberty blockers for actual trans adolescents/kids could help a lot. Seriously. They help give the trans person and family time to figure out how to proceed, transition or not. And if a trans teen is dealing with dysphoria a lot of the time they're going to wind up with depression or other mental issues shitty enough to warrant antidepressants, which have laundry lists of straight-up awful side effects no matter what you take. Puberty can be traumatic as shit for trans teens, and if they can be spared that hell some potential discomfort from the blockers is probably not that much of a downside.

Considering how awful actually being trans can be, yeah I still have next to no sympathy for nondysphoric snowflakes.

I think it's the mother's fault for allowing Steph to become like this. Steph's Father clearly wasn't comfortable the transisition and didn't enjoy Stephs back talk, when the poor man was trying to be a good father. He unwillingly accepted it, just to try and be that good father.

Which raises the point that no one in the comic world would realize "Stephie" is trans except for the fact he never shuts the fuck up about it. One of the first comics is about "Stephie" going over to her friend's house for a sleepover and she's all "MOM, MY FRIEND DOESN'T KNOW I'M TRANS, CALL HER PARENTS RIGHT NOW AND TELL THEM I'M A CHICK WITH A DICK!!"
