A transgender girl accused of assaulting two students at a Texas high school alleges that she was being bullied and was merely fighting back

Shocking video shows a student identified by police as Travez Perry violently punching, kicking and stomping on a girl in the hallway of Tomball High School.

The female student was transported to the hospital along with a male student, whom Perry allegedly kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

According to the police report, Perry - who goes by 'Millie' - told officers that the victim has been bullying her and had posted a photo of her on social media with a negative comment.

One Tomball High School parent whose daughter knows Perry said that the 18-year-old had been the target of a death threat.

'From what my daughter has said that the girl that was the bully had posted a picture of Millie saying people like this should die,' the mother, who asked not to be identified by name, told DailyMail.com.

When Perry appeared in court on assault charges, her attorney told a judge that the teen has been undergoing a difficult transition from male to female and that: 'There's more to this story than meets the eye.'

Perry is currently out on bond, according to authorities.

The video of the altercation sparked a widespread debate on social media as some claim Perry was justified in standing up to her alleged bullies and others condemn her use of violence.

The mother who spoke with DailyMail.com has been one of Millie's most ardent defenders on Facebook.

'I do not condone violence at all. But situations like this show that people now a days, not just kids, think they can post what they want. Or say what they want without thinking of who they are hurting,' she said.

'Nobody knows what Millie has gone through, and this could have just been a final straw for her. That is all speculation of course because I don't personally know her or her family, but as a parent and someone who is part of the LGBTQ community this girl needs help and support, not grown men online talking about her private parts and shaming and mocking her.'

One Facebook commenter summed up the views of many, writing: 'This was brutal, and severe! I was bullied for years and never attacked anyone!'

Multiple commenters rejected the gender transition defense and classified the attack as a male senselessly beating a female.

One woman wrote on Facebook: 'This person will get off because they're transitioning. This is an animal. She kicked, and stomped, and beat...not okay. Bullying is not acceptable, but kicking someone in the head. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.'

Ok, makes sense. They are not happy because they feel their body and brain don't match and feel distress because of it.

What do they mean here?

1. You can have your body/brain genders not match and have dysphoria distress that is not because of the no match but because of something else (unspecified) but still want surgery and hormones.

3. Most of the DSM is vague. That was just direct quotes from it. Distress is a requirement for a disorder to be diagnosed. And distress has to cause functional issues in more then one area. The newer trans people all head to gender clinics because they just want to diagnosis people as trans and do not do any work to find out if they really are distressed by their situation or have the other diagnostic criteria.

That quote though if they met that requirement that they were distressed due to lack of options NOT due to congruence, then they have no diagnosed gender dysphoria. The distress has to be due to the incongruence not an outside force.

When engaging with people about trans issues, especially online, transphobic dog whistling is common place. Whether you are trans or nonbinary yourself or an ally, it is important to recognise these words and phrases.

Here are the 12 most common:

1. “I’m an actual woman.” “I’m a real lesbian.”
What they are conveying to you is that they believe that trans women are not real women, which of course they are!

2. “You can identify as anything you like.”
This sounds like tolerance but at the core of this statement is the belief that trans people are living a fantasy that should not be indulged.

3. Talks about a natal or biological man or woman.
They are referring to the gender they were assigned at birth and that they still identify with. They are cisgender. They will often refuse to use the term cis because they believe they are normal and trans people are abnormal.

4. Reference to the number 41.
41% is the number of trans people who attempt to end their own lives. Obviously transphobic people like the idea of trans people dying. Some give 41% discount in their stores for example.

5. “Sex is real.”
Yes it is, but like gender it is highly socially constructed and definitely not binary. People say this because they think trans people want to erase the realities of biological sex, when it is trans men and AFAB nonbinary people who are fighting for gyno care for example.Sex is really irrelevant when talking about trans rights. The only person who needs to know my sex is my doctor.

6. “We have to protect women’s spaces.” “We are protecting women and girls.”
What this means is that they believe trans women don’t belong in women’s spaces. It’s a convincing one for a lot of people. I too believe in protecting women, girls and safe spaces, but unlike the majority AKA the cis, I know this is a transphobic dog whistle. Trans women are women and not predatory men.

7. “Are you intact?” “It’s an intact male.”
What they mean is have you had bottom surgery and if you haven’t, then you can’t possibly be trans and you must be faking it to gain access to vulnerable people. Even if you’ve had bottom surgery, they still won’t accept you as a man or a woman.An important side note here: having surgery or not doesn’t make you any less trans or nonbinary.

8. TIM & TIF
These translate to:Trans Identified Male (trans woman) & Trans Identified Female (trans man.)

Don’t worry, they don’t have an horrendous acronym for people under the nonbinary umbrella……..yet.

You can see the glaring transphobia in the names that the acronym spells but also continually denying that we are who we say we are.

I don't want to powerlevel too much, but you're right that a lot of "trans gay men" are starting to show up in gay men's spaces. My country is not extremely liberal though, so maybe that's why it doesn't look like a threat now.
I think the best way to deal with it is to say something like "sorry, I'm not attracted to you" or "you're not my type". If you want to be extra mean, call them unattractive or ugly. If I like men who look like men and they don't match that preference, what can they do about that?
But I'll be honest, I'd like to see them try force me to sleep with them. -- On that note, I feel for lesbians who probably feel way more pressured to give into that ideology.

I disagree. Many fandoms with plenty of intresting female characters still have very strong slash arm and original yaoi/shonen-ai is also plenty large. Some girls are into guy on guy action, plain and simple. Same as some guys are into lesbian porn. There are all sorts of straight porn and still sertain guys click on girl on girl becouse they like it.
