Happy birthday, Sarah Wiedenheft.

If your brother's invited to the party, I sincerely hope nobody under the age of 10 will be present.

Oh my God! It's only a game! A badly written game with a unlikeable character, but a game nonetheless. No need to bring other's parents and kid into this. Fuck, man. This shit here is why some of the Gamers and anime fans getting flack.

Is that...evidence? Holy shit, someone is actually showing some receipts to prove she’s receiving death threats! Funny how it took Bailey only a couple of days to show some proof, yet we’re still waiting on those hundreds of women coming forward a year later.

EDIT: Also, anybody who threatens somebody's child is a piece of shit.
I stand with Laura...unless she proves to be another back stabbing bitch, but so far she hasn't. Even so the attacks are disgusting. All this over a video game. Laura did an amazing job with a crap character like Abby.

People are seriously sending her death threats over a game? Because of a character she had no part in writing or creating and only just acting? If anything, Troy Baker's embarassing ass shoulda gotten all that unwanted attention. Guy lives to suck himself off.

See, there’s a big difference between Laura Bailey showing receipts and Monica Rial not doing the same thing Brian~

Laura wasn’t running around crying about death threats or accusing someone of being a rapist, nor when pressed for proof in regards to either thing Laura didn’t threaten people with Homeland Security or make a total cow out of herself;when the seacow you wanna bone so bad did those things, and even if appeals go to shit for Vic let’s not pretend that Monica won’t suffer any damage.

There’s a reason why Monicunt and Impotent Soye have a thread, while Laura doesn’t.

Irrelevant rando claims to know that Laura and Travis are no longer friends with Vic.

This tweet comes from a thread of hers about Laura Bailey getting targeted by angry autists for acting in TLOU2. Someone in the comments said they were glad that Laura was still friends with Vic and then OP responded with the above tweet.

Pronouns and #ACAB in bio.

Would be sad if Laura and Travis really abandoned Vic. But I doubt this person knows. All I know is that they both unfollowed Vic last year.

Only they (Vic, Laura and Travis) know the truth and I don't think they'll say anything publicly.

Let me get this straight. A 23 year old weeaboo claims to talk to a “crew” without specifying which crew he’s talking about and claims that he knows that Laura and Travis are no longer friends with Vic. I would press X for doubt and A for autistic.

Tbh, Bailey getting flack is disappointing, but not surprising; yeah, Abby's a cunt, but that's not exactly Bailey's fault. She doesn't deserve to be harassed for just doing her job. If anything, I'd argue that the director is more to blame for making Abby so, well... Abby-ish (I'd also argue that he also happens to be a smug, unlikable cunt who deepthroats his own dick way too much, but I digress).

That said, this isn't an anime/video game exclusive problem. There's a ton of actors who got death threats after they played villains in movies, or even just for playing characters the fans didn't like. Andrew Robinson, who played the Scorpio Killer in "Dirty Harry," got a lot of hate mail from people who thought that he had to be just as evil as his character was (he wasn't; IRL, he was a huge pacifist and had to be taught how to fire a gun without violently flinching every time). Betsy Palmer, who played Pamela Voorhees in the first "Friday the 13th," was the unlucky target of angry soccer moms and moral guardians everywhere for being in such a gory movie, to the point where Roger Ebert happily doxxed her and encouraged people to send her hate mail (ironically, she herself originally hated the movie and only took the role to pay for her new car). Hell, the actor who played Jar Jar Binks, Ahmed Best, was harassed by both autistic Star Wars fans and critics accusing him of being a racist stereotype, to the point of actually becoming suicidal from the amount of hatred he recieved. Did any of them deserve to be harassed? No. Were they still harassed by people who couldn't differentiate fiction from reality? Absolutely.

What's happening to Bailey isn't new, unfortunately, but social media makes it easier for Bailey and Druckman to fish for sympathy and lump all their detractors in the same group of people who'd send death threats. It's fair to say that there's a problem, IMO, but I don't think it's a problem with gamers themselves, nor is it exclusive to them--the problem comes from people in general.
Yeah, you're right. It's one of those it's sad but it's true kind of things. No matter what you do, there's always going to be some retards out there who will pull stupid shit like this. The thing though is that it's not that you receive them because let's face it, you always are gonna anyway, it's how it's dealt with. There's a right way and a wrong way to do things. Most of the time.

I don't agree with the threats Bailey has been getting. That being said, I also don't agree with the way she is handling it. She showed proof and that's great, that's more than what most people do who claim they receive threats but where my problem starts with it when she decides so paste it onto a flag that she can wave around on twitter because she wants the positive attention. The same feeling I have towards people who use Nick's streams to announce about how miserable they are or about deaths in their family et cetera. Those things would only be loudly announced if you want attention for it. Mainly, positive attention. You want to feel better by having a bunch of random strangers fumble about each other, telling you about how wonderful you are and how great things are gonna be for you, offering their condolences, generally showering you with attention, so on and so forth. While I'm not saying that holding it in is the right choice, these kinds of things are best spoken about or talked about with close friends, family, mental health professionals and what have you. Anyone announcing anything so sad, unless it's specifically for the purpose of informing people about a wake or some other such event you want them to attend, is most certainly doing it for the positive reinforcement.

The proper way to deal with those death threats is so report those people calmly to whatever powers may be so that they can face repercussions for being fucking retarded, and secondly, those people's threats are 100% empty. They are just angry people who are dealing with their anger in a very unhealthy way. It's the internet. The internet should absolutely never be relied upon to offer comfort because chances are, if you do that you'll end up worse off. If people need to be validated for everything at every turn, it means they are very bad at handling their emotions and they have an unhealthy obsession with needing to be constantly emotionally pampered just to function.

TL;DR: I feel bad for Bailey, but I don't think she shoulda turned it into a giant "feel bad for me" fest.

Oh boy, yet another person joining the ranks of "Well if they say it's true, then it is 100% true. Humans are incapable of lying, women even less so. Oh there's actual evidence showing that they are indeed lying and conspiring to cancel someone they don't like? Well I'm just going to conveniently ignore all of that."

It'll hurt my heart if this is true. Vic doesn't need to lose anymore friends

KickVic can't meme. This would imply Vic is going around (somehow) forcing people to participate in the coffee scene, when it's simply his most requested line. People ask VAs to do lines all the time.

Also where are the affidavits the claim Vic is a sexual predator? Wheres the evidence that he's a sexual predator? Remember when KickVic was asserting that Vic was a sexually predator and when he sued key participants over it the narrative suddenly shifted back to "Vic Man Creepy :("?

So is she just going to ahow that Laura and travis aren't friends or is she going to keep spitting out bullshit like they typically do?

It still baffles me that people think that Vic's fans requesting him to do his famous line is "creepy". I remember someone showed me a video of him doing that line as "proof of his misconduct" at cons, but when I pointed out that the girls in the videos were often excited and giddy...they pretty much resorted to saying that these girls were obviously being groomed publicly. I really don't understand this thought process of trying to find something sinister in genuine fan reactions.

It's really sad to see how many people are truly detached from reality. People will threaten death on anyone and everyone for the dumbest of reasons. These messages are awful, but it's hard to take them seriously. I have heard before that you won't know you've made it big unless you start hearing people talk shit about you. And it's true, because you can't please everyone. You'll eventually do something people will hate and they will let you know about it. They will say how much they hate you and want you to die... etc. We have all seen it before. How often do these weirdos actually take action though? It is extremely rare.

This is why I don't believe Monica really received legitimate death threats. I wouldn't be surprised if she got angry messages like Laura did here. I don't think it's cool to say shit like that to someone, but I don't think hateful messages should be overblown either. As Laura said, the overwhelming majority of people are good. Most people don't want others dead. So, we just take the hate with a grain of salt and move past it. Of course, if you feel it necessary, stay vigilant and if there are other actions that make you feel like someone is after you, by all means... Take it to the appropriate authorities because Twitter isn't gonna save your ass from some psycho.

Yes... because we all know Vic just goes up to any random stranger and asks them if they want to drink coffee from his mouth. That's what the man is known for! It's not that he voices a character or acts out scenes or anything.

Of course they see it this way. These are people that have never been adored in their life by anybody.

From what we've seen lately Vic has never abused this adoration from fans unlike some others coming out now. No creepy DMs, no con love children, no bans from conventions for being creepy, nothing.
