Listening to Digi's music makes me believe he isn't just blindly defending her music, he probably genuinely thinks its great.

I don't know if there's anything that Digi or May can do that the other would think is bad. That's the problem with them, they're so perfectly meant for each other that neither can do any wrong. Some interesting things from skimming the recent outburst of podcasts:

1. Digi keeps track of what they are supposed to be doing by dumping all the info into a single notepad file. It's a clusterfuck and at one point Digi shows their notepad. The notepad contains a list of questions for their Q&A podcasts, a list of psychic Pokemon in each mainline game so they can do a Sabrina run (Digi seems to keep bringing up Sabrina and other Psychic Pokemon trainers as inspo), lyrics to songs, a top 5 trans anime video (Stop Hibari Kun being number one and //.Hack being on the list?, and other random brain vomit. Gives some insight to Digi's disjointed/chaotic output. I didn't see paying back taxes or doing rants in the notepad

2. Doesn't feel fulfilled in their life despite being happy mainly due to audience expectations of output. Damn it's as if you shouldn't try to re-brand every 3 to 6 months.
3. Plans to design every room in their house a different color theme and have each room represent a different character. Example: Digi's bedroom will be pink covered in hentai where Digi will play a character named Hentai Samurai

Digi ran out of money before completing each room. Other characters include artso fartso and Digibro. I think this project will fail to become a thing or it will be a really half assed effort which would be lolsy.

This is the current state of things. It was so half-assed it was only slightly noticeable, and it certainly wasn't explained. I think the reason for bringing it up wasn't "expect this to happen" it was "this was the plan and here is how it didn't happen" because the only people who even knew that it was a plan were people keeping up with patreon videos.
Of course if you have followed digi's content for a long time the use of very distinct repeated costuming starting last year was noticeable and it did give the videos featuring different aesthetics different texture. Going all in on this seemed to be the problem. Because digi wasn't able to fully realize the vision it grew pointless. "I'll do it when i have the room designed" but that never happened, so it just kinda turned out pointless.

Tsukasa isn't trans, she plays as a male character and is happier as her character not because her character is male, but because in her real life her dad is an abusive piece of shit. Tsukasa's whole arc is supposed to be about learning to be ok with reality; and accepting that you can't just run away from your problems or avoid them by pretending to be someone else.

Mariya and his sister are the only two traps in the show and neither are depicted as suffering from any kind of dysphoria in fact the only reason for the crossdressing is because they are competing to see who can hide their gender the longest in the gender segregated schools their family owns, whoever graduates without anyone finding out gets to be the new chairmen.
Unless the manga takes the story in a different direction there is no reason for it to be on the list. There are no real interesting takes on gender, it's just a fun comedy. Any and all femininity put on by Mariya is purely done to bully Kanako or blend in with the school. When he finds himself alone or back in the dorm room he always portrays himself in a masculine way.

Digi's only "talent" was having a lifestyle so out of the norm that many autists related to him enough to give him a cult following. but over time people stopped caring, most realized that he was just a mess that couldn't finish even a single project and someone who's every self destructive and hedonistic life decision was not worth supporting. his pseudo-intellectualism and constant change of personality and opinions were not appealing anymore.
And then he trooned... but no one cared. even as a lolcow he is not even funny, he's just a sadcow who can't figure out what he's doing wrong with his life.

Yeah that's a good point, and I think his justification currently, from listening to him speak in his recent video, is that it's because he's more of a lexical thinker, so he wants to embrace a style that reflects what is more important to him and what he enjoys from YouTube content, which he basically describes as info dumps.

I don't really agree with his assessment that other YouTubers like "Plinket" (and many others that he listed) don't embrace visual elements and mainly choose to dump info. Redlettermedia, for example, has always had a very distinct visual language, and I think if anything it speaks volumes to their skill that it comes off as naturally and transparently as it does. Even their simple and well timed fade to blacks are something Digi could never dream of executing effectively, because he has no education like they do to pace it properly for the audience to rest. Anything he'd try would be an imitation at best. Hell he even tried to rip off the Plinket style once and it was awful. Digi has always been full start, full stop.

And so now it's literally just him reading a script (and literally showing him scrolling through that script as he reads it).

Also I fucking love how he can never commit to the retarded woman voice. He still keeps starting out for the first 20 seconds talking higher pitched and then always goes back to talking like he used to.

Nothing makes me roll my eyes harder than any trans person trying to talk like a woman in general.

My voice is male, but gender is a construct, so a male voice is also a female voice, but I'll still speak in a feminine or female way, which completely contradicts the entire concept that gender is a construct.
