If they wanted communism, then why didn't these all powerful communists manage to install Bernie. Not once, but twice they were cucked?
Sanders is a "useful idiot" and a short-term solution. "Just as planned".
1. If he were elected, democracy remains in place as he would have to legislate the end of voting, which would cause people to revolt and restore the old system. And, sometime after his eight years in office, someone could come along and reverse his policies.
2. As an elected official, Sanders would still have to push his policies through the current democratic process and may be unsuccessful.
3. By giving him a legitimate platform, it legitimizes his positions in the minds of some, and encourages those who disagree to engage in debate about his positions rather than dismiss those positions outright.
4. By failing to allow him to become a viable candidate, it encourages those with the same ideals to take further action to overthrow the system outright instead of changing it piece-meal.
Bernie is a "useful idiot" in that he advances socialist goals in a manner that weakens the institutions of the US in such a way that they can be replaced through violence.
Bernie is a short-term solution in that if he did become President, he would still have to work against the current institutions of governance and could have his changes revoked at a later time. The forces at work know that there are two things that even a President could never get away with; ending elections, and ending term limits.
What the new left doesn't understand but is well understood by the establishment is that you have to give the people the illusion of choice. The new left is too impatient and wants socialism "Now NOW NOW NOW NOW!!!!" instead of playing the long game and boiling the frog as the establishment has done for so long.
