In the heartland of the US, including texas and the south it is fairly common for people to own at least one firearm. When you get into the cities is when the legal gun ownership does a flip off a bridge. At least where I live you can walk around with constitutional open carry/body armor and no one cares.

By "flip off a bridge" I take it you mean gun ownership reduces in cities? That's got to be an ethical thing, right, as guns will cost pretty much the same everywhere? I guess I'm asking because I'm NOT seeing the same response I saw during the LA riots, where private citizens just opened up on looters. After all, if they're coming at your home or business, what choice do you have? It's them or you.

Something I don't understand about the US, and would appreciate an insight. Like, how armed is your average person? Does pretty much everyone have an auto pistol? A shotgun? A rifle? A tonne of ammunition? Or do people NOT buy these things, generally speaking? And if they don't buy these things, is it because of cost or an ethical consideration?

It depends where you are, there are still local laws that make it exceptionally difficult to get guns some places. In NYC the NYPD makes you go on some list and wait 6 months before they even give you an answer, and even then there are a bunch of restrictions on the type of gun you can own.
Other places are far less restrictive, even some cities.

Anti-immigration laws as far as the 1882, 1917 and 1924 were passed with both parties consent. Anti-immigration laws usually made the nation more cohesive and helped workers, Now stuff like the Chinese exclusion act though was definitely racist though and a betrayal of sorts. Open borders crowd is these days financed by corporate America and the wealthy elites that make bank off them. I overall don't see it as a negative.

Eugenics was mostly done by progressives of the era. However they had more support on the Democrat than Republican side.

On a final note, looking at electoral maps since the 1960s, Republicans made some gains but never won the Solid South as a reliable voting block till Clinton tried to fuck with their gun rights. Reagan and Nixon's wins also included the entire country so that appeal to racist southerners is moot.

And I do agree though that the "The Democrats are the real racists" slogan is a weak statement as minorities other than black don't give a shit about Jim Crow and Slavery and all that shit. Its the immigration, foreign wars and bible thumping stuff that turned them really away. And looking at how demographics are changing, Latino vote and Asian vote is what the GOP should concentrate on if they want some form of minority vote. Also they have a chance at the muslim vote if they can spin the democrats as the real warmongering party that wants forever war in the Middle East and the Democrats just as much love Israel as the Republicans.

Legal gun ownership. Many cities have additional laws/taxes/regulations on who can own/what firearms can be owned. This leads to an instance of people bringing in firearms from other municipalities or gangbangers having their stolen/illegal firearms

In addition many of the hyper liberals who pass laws restricting the 2A are concentrated in said cities. Who needs firearms when you have the police? lol

By the numbers, 50% of American households owned at least one firearm last year. Of the 50% that didn't own them, most just don't care whether they have a gun or not. Not many people see the need for them (like owning a car while living in a city center), just like anything else.
In my personal circles, everyone owns a gun, but not most people I know from work (politics and such). Most of the younger gun owners aren't really into hunting so own at least a semi-auto rifle and pistol. The hunters mostly add in a few bolt rifles and shotguns. They also tend to like revolvers cause aesthetics.
Hardly anyone I know stockpiles ammo beyond the competition shotgun guys (150 rounds a match adds up fast) and maybe one of the ex-military types I know.

I live closeby to the Bay Area where I found out recently there is no gun store or store that sells guns like a Big 5 in San Francisco. And there is only one store in Oakland that sells guns but some gook politician wants to get rid of that store. However travel outside the pozzed hellholes and its gun stores everywhere in the suburbs.
