Back when I was at high school I hanged out with two tomboy girls, they were fun, about the only two girls who drank beer and could keep up drinking with me, normie girls were into shit music and at best a glass of wine, bleh.

I legit wanted to date one of the two because I really liked her and she was damn cute but she was also insecure af about her girlhood and avoided relationships and sex because of that.

Now it's years and years later she has a ungirly job but hasn't trooned out, she accepted that she is a woman with a certain personality.

I can only imagine if she had to go through certain things at certain age in our current day. Chances are she'd be brainwashed by some online support group and FtM by the age of 17 and ALL the appeal would be gone.

I found that FTM tend to come in two varieties:

The first is broken women with extremely low confidence and self-esteem that go FTM for coping purposes. Usually shut-ins from childhood, often sexually abused during childhood, too. It would be easy for them to find a friendly dick, but they would still have to get themselves out there for it.

The second is fujoshis who fetishize gay sex so hard they want in on the action. Those are usually ones complaining that all these hot gay men don't want a piece the hot stuff they're offering.

There are exceptions and overlapping cases, of course, but these seem to be the two most common types. The first type thinks getting laid will come naturally once they're men because they think men have an easy time getting laid, the second think they'll get laid because their fetishized view of gay guys has convinced them that gay people fuck anything that moves.

I also think a lot of straight women in that category wind up in a friend group of mostly lesbians and asexuals, and the straight women feel ‘left out’ of not being LGBT. Being LGBT offers you a community in a way that awkward, areligious generically white people from atomized suburbs don’t otherwise have.

Although again the difference is that if you’re a woman, men will offer themselves to you, whereas this doesn’t happen to men except for the top 1% of attractiveness.
