At this stage, college should be considered a luxury, especially since he’s only doing it to spite strangers online. He has two kids and an effectively disabled wife to support. Sometimes you have to put your dreams to one side and do what has to be done.

He can't even use the excuse that he needs to look after Heather and the kids since Heather's mom can do that. Heather should move in with her mom temporarily, the kids are old enough to help out around the house and then Zinnia can work.
It'll never happen though because Zinnia doesn't really care about Covid since he is still okay with going to school in the fall.
