Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

You haven't given a better reason though. Biden's a bad candidate, his base isn't voting for him as anything other than a "Not the Other Guy" vote, which doesn't work in the US Electoral system, the only real play the Democrats had was the Sideways-Vagina Virus and that is basically winding down now since the fatality rate is dropping, the riots and vandalism aren't helping the Democrats and Biden's VP pick is Kamala Harris, who will almost certainly depress black voter turnout.

There's other stuff I'm forgetting, I think, but what else do the Dems have? Voter fraud? I suspect that Trump will have the sort of turnout that will make anything like that too obvious for the Democrat party to get away with. Not to mention that Trump will almost certainly destroy Biden in the debates, and if Biden skips the debates that will hurt him as well.

Trump meanwhile, is the incumbent and has an inherent advantage for that reason alone, has a massive amount of support from rank and file republicans, an economy that is gradually starting to recover, the coronavirus is, again, winding down, the riots have likely hurt the Dems and allowed Trump to position himself as a law and order candidate, and his supporters are actually voting for him and not "Not the Other Guy". I could be wrong here dude, but I'm just not seeing a Biden victory as being all that likely.

That's not good enough on it's own, as far as I can tell. The left hated Bush(for good reasons and bad), he still got re-elected. The right hated Obama(for good reasons and bad), he still got re-elected. What makes the Trump hate different other than social media bitching?

no one has any idea how this is going to affect voter turn out. Its unprecedented. Most people still avoid going out if they can help it.

True, but given that Trump's supporters seem willing to attend his rallies in spite of this virus, I would say that it won't hurt his own turnout nearly as much as it will Biden's. Moreover, it's entirely possible that the pinko pox will be mostly done with by November.

That already depends heavily on area.

Where I am at people are fed up with the shutdown bullshit and have been for over a month. Any legitimate or semi-legitimate reason to say fuck it and go out in mass almost justifies itself. Seriously, I would fully believe that more people in my area will be out to vote AT THE POLLING PLACE purely because fuck the lockdown than there will be people who avoid going to the polls due to the virus fears.

Where I live, all that has changed is I have to ritually don a silly mask when I enter Applebee's, and wear it until I sit at the bar.
