Princesses are 100% inherently gendered, and yeah its pretty fucking weird for a little boy to dress as a princess. As luck would have it, though, I knew a boy growing up who was, like really into Disney princesses.
He had fairy wands and shit, and even a little pink plastic playhouse for the backyard. He had other interests, too, though, like die cast toy cars and soccer. His parents let him indulge in his princess obsession, and eventually in his teen years, he abandoned his interest in it in favor of more masculine interests.
He's like my distant cousin or some shit, so I saw him every few years growing up, and I still seem him every now and then. Nowadays, he's as straight as an arrow, and is a fairly masculine guy. He's a massive nerd, now, though.
Basically, my point is that letting your boy act like a fucking fairy as a kid doesn't necessarily mean he'll come out a poof. Just raise your kid well, and make sure they don't fucking get groomed or something.
