Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Trust me, I am a bit more "personally intertwined" with the Georgia testing Regime. Right now the spikes are very clearly in the Counties that are A. Offering Free Testing, B. Testing anyone and not requiring County or State Residence. C. Are only opening up th etesting schedule 48 hours in advance so people from other areas can spam the phone lines in the morning hoping to get a test without waiting 2 weeks. or D. Scheduling testing for large blocks, such as the entire employees of a business (which are supposed to be kicked over to teh Nat'l Guard). The public Health Officials KNOW THIS. But they are getting $$$/test. They are on hiring sprees and their importance within the State and County Governments is the most it's ever been. Why the Surgeon General even came to visit them last week! THEY'RE SPECIAL! OK, you know that predatory camera hungry instant celebrity look you see on Fauci's face every time he gets media attention? This is happening all down the DOH Management Food Chains. The Rank and File DOH Employees are growing furious about all of this. They want to go back to their regular jobs. Most of the counties surrounding Atlanta haven't had restaurant inspections since February or so. (Yeah the risk in Restaurants is not the Wu Flu, it's every other food borne illness available) The Environmental Health staff is all working the "COVID-19 ALL THE TIME" drill. No Water Testing. No Immunizations or Childrens Dental Services. Because the County Health Directors think they have become "Self Financing" via COVID.
Was one of them Glynn County, down on the coast? I know a bunch of people virtue-signalling about how they were going to get tested in Brunswick the other week and it was all on the same day.
I was like "why the fuck are you all going on the same day?"

They say this virus spreads like wildfire in prisons and jails, so sure, let's put more people in jail just because they don't want to wear a mask! Genius thinking there.
Listen here, chud. The people who were in prison were likely in there due to factors like systemic racism or capitalism forcing the poor to do crimes.
The people who refuse to wear masks are demonstrating anti-social behaviors, and we cant have that. These dangerous renegades believe that individual liberty is more important than the health and greater good of society. Therefore, they deserve to die of WuFlu in prison.
Now back to your pod, citizen!

Article on the Israel experience. They were able to get it under control, but reopened the schools and business to quickly. So now bars, clubs and gyms are closed again and restaurants have a 20-person cap. It has spread to the Palestinian territories as well, where they are under lockdown now.
This is fucking wife-abuser logic.

"They opened too early so we had to close them back down! Its their fault we took action!"
"She didn't have dinner ready so I had to beat her! Its her fault I took action!"

The government closed back down because it chose to, not because it had to.

I believe the US ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) has been discussed before in this thread, but the following is the latest thing to be shared around on social media:

sm-masks-vs-ada.jpg
According to ADA Masks Not Required Anywhere in America!

No business may deny you service because you refuse to wear a mask. Violation punishable by $75,000 federal fine!

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
1.) Requires reasonable accommodation to anyone who cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition.
2.) You cannot be forced to disclose any medical condition. SCOTUS recognizes a constitutional right to privacy.
3.) Your right to privacy of medical history is further protected by the 5th Amendment.

Michigan's order to take effect next week allow exceptions for people unable to wear masks for medical reasons. Still, I can't help wondering how much of this is true and how much is complete BS that won't help anyone that may try to cite this as a valid reason to refuse to wear masks.

It's more that between ADA and HIPAA any company that refuses you service is taking a risk, because if you do have a valid medical reason for not wearing a mask, none of them want the ADA violation. HIPAA means, in theory, they can't ask or demand you prove you have the condition you state, without a violation. That's what protected a lot of the "therapy" animals, if they're wearing all the proper therapy animal gear.

If they guess right, and you don't have any issues, there's nothing you can really do, if they guess wrong with someone who actually has medical issues they're open to lawsuits and people probably get fired. Most places you could probably just tell the person at the door that you have asthma and they'll leave you be. Thing is, most people don't care and they're not going to dig. Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be and you're giving the store in question a valid excuse for them.

Don't make a scene and the only people who care will be Karens.

The karens will care a lot, especially if you're a young white male. I wonder where the first mask shoot-out will take place.

Have the Americans out-patriotism'd the virus yet? Have they tried guns? I heard bullets are a cheaper alternative to masks in the states with a 100% success rate in stopping spreaders.
I hope your smug bootlicking ass is hit in the head by a stray bullet during an anti-government riot.

Some big shit may happen at my jobsite. The general contractor is bringing out a medical contractor possibly soon to do mandatory tests. The kicker is that they will sell your personal information off and they are not liable for any damages. If you refuse, you get sent home for a week. A majority of my company is fucking pissed, and most have agreed to refuse the test and be sent home for 7 days.

Another thing is that you might get "laid off" if you test positive even if you already had it, are asystematic, or it's a shitty test.

The problem with this is that fighting back against the fines is probably more expensive and annoying than just paying them.

Someone's going to do it anyway. The authorities already dont like writing tickets they have a possibility of fighting because it costs them more then the ticket is worth.

The Vast Majority won't.

Traffic Tickets say differently, the majority of traffic tickets are overturn-able if you actually show up with a proper lawyer to argue the law with the judge. It just costs more to hire Saul Goodman than it does to pay the 30 bucks.

gee whitmer is so bright, i wonder if her voters will be brave enough to save her ass in her recall election

That fucking bitch will never be removed from office. My state's so blue that there's no chance they'll vote her out, no matter how long she forces the restrictions/lockdowns and spouts the same tired lies and propaganda. Michigan is a lost cause.

Jimbeaut on Yahoo reactions said it best.

"if, after all of the information that has been out on the internet, instagram, twitter, facebook, what'sapp and all the other methods of communication beyond reading and tv, a 30 year old is that stupid, well, too bad. seriously, it borders on just plain ignorance".

It is this type of ignorance that worries me the most. People not taking this seriously enough that it can cause the lives to others.

No bitch, over 80% of COVID deaths are over 55 and like 91% have underlying conditions.
Meanwhile what's the status on everyone else who attended the party?

Is the Media only sensationalizing outliers? For as many cases as there are there's bound to be some young healthy people that will di. That's to be expected. However most of the people seem to be dying from it are either elderly or obese people with hypertension and diabetes. I wish the media would be honest and quit trying to scare people. However fear sells and it's an election year.
