There've been more horrific troon widow stories, but perhaps the most illustrative and high profile is Don/Dawn Ennis, the former network sports reporter who trooned out, reversed it— publicly blaming his wife Wendy for sissifying him— then trooned out again.
Don did all of this while his wife was dying of terminal cancer. He abandoned her and their three minor children, raped their savings, and then moved cross country to “find herself”. Thanks to Don’s high profile gig at ABC Sports, his transition back and forth got big play in the NYC and even national media. He now runs OutSports and claims he breastfed his son, in spite of the kid being six years old at the time Don trooned out.
This based wifey did the right thing and saved herself a lot of fucking headaches.

He also deliberately targets small niche subs, like /r/detrans. These smaller subs (like a lot of the TERF subs he recently took down) are usually operated by young women who are relatively inexperienced with sites like Reddit and hence don't know how to respond to an older, experienced mod /u/Bardfinn targets them with his fellow censorthugs from /r/AgainstHateSubreddits using all kinds of technology to aid with these attacks. Some of you who have studied the blackhole from a safe distance might know that Goth Dad is a fan of using RES to assist him with carrying out these attacks; most /r/detrans users have never even heard of RES, let alone know how to use it. He knows he can overpower and intimidate younger/new users through sheer seniority alone.

If someone is detransitioning (especially if that involves leaving some online SJW cult that was part of their transition) and going back to being cis... wouldn't it make sense for them to be able to communicate with cis people? I know, what an incredible fucking concept, ex trans-people who are trying to be cis honestly wanting to talk to actual cis people. Their cultic thinking clouds their minds so much that any baseline logic is lost.

I can’t remember what sub I’m on, so I might get a ban. But it’s a detrans sub, not a trans sub. It’s a subreddit focused on people who have detransitioned for whatever reason. It is absolutely not a sub for trans people who are currently living as their gender and getting operations.
I can understand why they’re pissed off. This is one of the only places to openly discuss detransition and support each other.
Like, I don’t go on parent subs and post about being childfree. Because it’s not applicable. It’s their space. And I’d be pretty pissed off if a parent came into childfree and told us all we’re doing it wrong.
Im not saying all the terfs and radfem views are in any way okay. But not everyone on that sub is a terf, or believes nobody should transition. It’s a valuable support subreddit for people that are suffering intensely due to often serious medical and mental health issues.

Because of course they know that /u/drewiepoodle is running the competing sub! Of course they know that Ianna hates having to compete with another sub. The numbers don't lie: /r/detrans has 5000+ members whereas /r/detransition only has 170 members and no engagement at all. Of course /r/detransition are not going to ask themselves why detransitioners avoid them and do not feel comfortable discussing their detransitions in the presence of known censors and partisans (gee, now why would that be? Maybe because people naturally hate censors and feel uncomfortable being truly honest and opening up around them?)

This banwave was leaked a few days ago though as someone on another forum shared how their relatives in the tech industry were saying that Reddit admins were gonna make massive changes and ban "problematic" subreddits.
I was genuinely afraid this subreddit would be targeted, since it has been accused of "hatespeech" in the past by brigaders and trans activists, and as a lurker and occasional commentor I have admired the bravery of posters and I don't want to see their voices silenced. The subreddit is still here so, so congratulations on not being labeled hatespeech on Reddit. I'm glad they made at least one rational decision with this banwave.
It won't stop me from seriously considering leaving Reddit, but at the very least, I have at least one subreddit left that gives me unbiased info on any of the hot-button issues today.

There’s a lot of GC people who have always flooded this sub and tried to speak for people who are detrans and I’ve never been a fan of it.
I detransitioned because it wasn’t right for me, not because I wanted to push an agenda against people who were happy to transition.

Recently a lot of subreddits have been banned from Reddit and for awhile we were scared that r/detrans was among them. It seemed the ban was a mistake according to the administrators but we are still watching everything right now while discussing a future plan of action.
I understand many are upset about losing the subreddits that were banned but our space is not the space for you to bring that up, or soapbox. It is not the space to make comparisons, or organize attacks on another group either.
This subreddit is intended to give detransitioners a voice, freedom to express themselves and discuss their stories and experiences. It is also a place for those questioning their transition to hear and understand experiences that are normally silenced and not really spoken of in the open. Detransition is a topic that shouldn't be taboo but we are met with hostility and anger because people are told that transition is the first and only solution to gender dysphoric people, when that isn't the case. Our existence, stories and faces show that this is not always the case and many of us wish that the amount of detransitioners is reduced.
This space exists to show that we do exist and transition is not always the best option for someone gender dysphoric and the myth about lack of support is just that, a myth.
Thank you and I request that allies please stay on topic as we will be starting to enforce rule 3 harder.

We are cracking down on rule 3 enforcement and will be monitoring allies more, if things keep up this subreddit will start to restrict non detrans from posting. There is no point in a space like this existing if there is no freedom of speech toward one's body and experiences. Users being prohibited from letting their frustration out on something that hurt them and their lives helps no one. Detrans people will not be tolerated projecting their experience upon others according to rule 1 but we can only do so much and currently we are being report spammed so it's even harder to see what's an authentic rule break and what isn't.
