I personally dislike hate crime laws but the driver in this case went out of his way with the intent to kill so it's more premeditated murder with a motorized vehicle.

Society could only be improved if voting was restricted to those who contribute to society, taking all those kids who were arrested and released and instead marching them to the public square, lining up their schoolmates to watch and then whipping them. Then whipping their parents next. Oh, and publicly hanging the dude who hit that motorcyclist cuz of his race.

A common thread with leftists/radicals is that their desire to tear down the system is inversely proportional to their ability to make a functional alternative. They figure someone smart will pop up and magically fix everything or that their own virtue will guarantee their long term success. I remember reading somehwere that after the Civil War, a full 1/4th of the Southern black population starved to death or died of disease because no one had any kind of plan on how to reintegrate black people into the economy.
