"Current year" terms that piss you off

Toxic masculinity. The general idea that the inherent traits of being a man are bad while also implying women can do no wrong. It's sexist but in sort of a roundabout way that tries to make you look like the good guy.
What I hate about that term is that it, when taken by itself, has a kernel of truth to it. There are men who can only feel masculine by exerting control over others via physical or mental abuse or by committing violence for the sake of violence. I like to think that Fight Club is the perfect example of this mindset, and in a perfect world that would be the definition of toxic masculinity.

But that isn't what the term means and it isn't how people use it. Toxic masculinity is used as a cudgel to reduce masculine traits because they're apparently misogynistic, and that includes things like having sexual feelings for women. You don't see anything about "toxic femininity," even though women are just as capable of doing the same shit they criticize men for when they complain about toxic masculinity.

"Queer" as a reclaimed term - always was always will be a slur, and is overused by special snowflakes as a way of saying "hey look at me I'm different!"

POC - how is this any different to saying "coloured people"?

Demisexual and demigender. Basically just new ways of saying "I'm normal"

Non binary doesn't piss me off, but I do find it really annoying.

You don't feel like an ultra masculine Chad or a girly girl Stacey all the time? That's called being normal. Non binary is such a plastic, fake term for losers with nothing different or wrong about them to bulldog their way into the LGBT community and try and harvest those sweet, sweet victim points because they're not a walking stereotype of their gender. You don't need to shave off half your hair, grab a pair of problem glasses and act like you relate more to a robot than a human because you're not the dialized perfected specimem of masculinity or femininity. It's a pointless, bullshit term by tumblrites.

"Hijab" being used to describe any and all headscarves worn by women. SJWs I've met absolutely love to do that. Seriously, women of every culture ever have had some sort of headscarves for fashion or some practical reason. Stop trying to promote and normalize the one that signifies second class citizenship and ownership by a man.

Which brings me to:

"Gorgeous Faith"

Used by SJWs/feminists I've encountered to describe Islam. "Oh Islam is SUCH a gorgeous faith!" Of course it's mainly used by the ones who really just like the headscarves and give everything else about the culture a free pass. Especially the women who are risking beatings and imprisonment to not wear one. Seriously, just wear a scarf if you want to.

And these are not hijabs, and you don't have to defend Islam to wear them:

I honestly don't understand how that's such a hard concept to grasp...

Anything with the word "Colonizer" annoys me greatly now. Especially "Okay Colonizer" is thrown around by blacks when someone who just so happens to be white disagrees with their views or what not.

Edit to avoid double posting:

Selfcare, I absolutely despise that word now for some reason.

I've even seen that term applied to mixed race couples :c

“___ coded character”
When a character looks or acts a certain way, people would often go “this character looks/act like x, therefore he’s x-coded”
Basically, it’s just sperging about “representation” that isn’t even there.
Think the ____coded thing comes from the Hays Code. Movies couldn't have openly gay characters under that, so they had to be subtle about it.

Master’s tools

These are the tools of white western society, and thus tools of oppression, fascism, racism, and white supremacy. This includes "reason, evidence, logic, civility, rules of order, rule of law, due process, rigorous methodologies, methodology at all, science, and even keeping to a timetable and meeting agenda" source.

Yeah x-coded basically means looking/acting in a stereotypical way, except somehow it's not seen as negative by SJWs because stereotypes are great so long as you call them something else.

Which ties into another one: "queerbaiting."

If a character has any traits these people decide makes them queer-coded, and then turns out to not be queer? That's queerbaiting, and it's probably some sort of violent hate crime.

Like this girl from Mass Effect:

She has the butchy hairdo, and is a tomboyish soldier type, and tumblrites were absolutely stoked because she was 100% queer-coded and therefore obviously a lesbian.

Except she was straight. Because straight women can have all those traits too. Cue tumblrites screeching because they'd been queerbaited, because stereotypes had been subverted.

I think queerbaiting can be used in a non-sjw way, to describe characters who literally act gay but are canonically straight. I noticed this in Mr. Robot where Tyrell had behaved in such a homoerotic way towards Eliot you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. But nope he's actually straight

Personally what annoys me is the word simp. Oh my god, I'm tired of hearing it everywhere I go. The word itself is like nails on chalkboard too.
