Ugh. I can't even watch videos involving Wu. When she was on the David Pacman Show, I figured I'd watch and see what was up, but as soon as she opened her mouth I had to shut the browser down. Her voice sounded so gross and grating on my ears, and her "looks" of a hobo that hasn't washed in over a week didn't help either. She's pretty much in the same camp I put PandaLee in with that jacked up Kermit the Frog voice.

The reason she looked so fucking horrible is she had on no make-up at all. Probably when the TV prep dudes wanted to put on some pancake or whatever, she started screeching about soggy knees or whatever, completely oblivious to the fact that everyone, even men, who are on TV have makeup on. The lights require it. You look like utter shit on TV without makeup.

So that's why Wu looks like some repulsive Gollum-like creature on TV, an absurd insistence on not wearing makeup.

Like Nixon! Refusing TV make-up didn't help him either.

1. Looks like Wu has found something else to whine about again. This time, it's Twitter leadership, how they don't deal with the harassment on Twitter, how the EEEEVVVILLL CIS WHITE STRAIGHT MEN are not calling out on this issue (what does that got to do with it? idk, i'm mansplaining)

2. $0.99

3. >Priorising the unimportant
lol

What she's complaining about is pretty much akin to walking into oncoming traffic and then complaining to auto manufacturers about the "negative end user experience" that results from it.

Oh, and how about making games instead of sitting around playing them. Isn't Wu a professional game developer or something?

That would involve actually developing games, instead of just using money stolen from other people to pay other people to do the actual work.

Noooo, Wu. It's got nothing to do with that. If anything it's more to do with her asskissers and similar ilk harrassing people.
Same reason why tumblr might have been yahoo's shittiest acquisition and now they have to resort to ad-spamming peoples' dashboards. Precisely because they left sjws unchecked.

And the latter point... well yes, I'd say that creativity is something I'd love to see a lot more of but thing is, I don't really like to give companies shit over it when it's not too blatant.

With all the competition, the sheer expense of putting together a game that could stand up to the rest, people not having as much free money as they used to, you've gotta sell them on the idea of buying it harder than ever.

I seriously understand why publishers and the like are so cautious about playing it safe. Try something new and it flops? That's millions you can expect to lose from it.

But then again, what does Wu know about business? Or financial risk? Or creativity?

The difference is that Gogo...doesn't say anything after you meet them(I don't think Square ever revealed Gogo's gender at any point IIRC).

I want Wu to play Deadly Premonition so hard right now.

The Magna Carta of whining about the portrayal of women that would subsequently be brought into existence would be glorious because Wu wouldn't understand one iota of how utterly fucking brilliant that game truly is - not when it "glorifies" the serial killing of women (and ignoring the part where
one of the guilty parties is in the same state of gender as Wu themselves
)

By fetishizing graphics, and playing it safe with innovation - we prioritize the unimportant

…FF6 looked really gorgeous at the time, this is a retarded argument. If anything Square has always prioritised graphics, holding up 21 year old game to prove that point is just stupid.

Wait wait wait... isn't Brianna the one that was saying that games that require having to require so many buttons commands and understanding how to play them is a hindrance to a good game? Now, I'm not the biggest FF fan ever, but I do think I've seen here and there that the FF games tend to rely on a deep RPG mechanic and understanding how to maintain your team, resources, and how to properly manage your party during battles and the like. Seems just a little contradictory...

There's a lot of spergery needed to maximize the FF6 experience but you can derp along through an hour or so. And he wouldn't play a real game more than an hour into it.
