Somewhere, there's an alternate universe where Alex never responded to trolls, didn't go out of his way to read every e-mail, and never made a debunk page. Because he never brought attention to his past, the large majority of people never found out about it. In this alternate timeline, Alex also didn't spend all of his Patron cash on Sex dolls and video games. This Alex doesn't stream everyday. This Alex made wise development decisions by investing his money in commissioning programmers and artists to help him.
This Alex released his game a year ago to wide acclaim.

Edit: I was going to doublepost, but why the hell is Alex talking about himself being beneath the poverty line?! This dude made over $500,000 on Patreon for five years and is still making $19,000+ as of right now. Beneath the poverty line? No, Alex. No. You're far above it.

Patreon hasn't quite been that profitable, but if we add in his other sources of income (game deals, merchandise, donations, advances from publishers he'll later knife in the back) then he's probably in the rough ballpark of the half a million mark. I think he's around $232,516 in total Patreon earnings thus far.

YanDev either has no idea what poverty is or is lying once again. Alex’s Patreon is making $1,626 a month. Being very generous and ignoring the fact that it’s been significantly higher these past SIX YEARS, that’s still over $19,500 annually. If we assume he works 40 hours a week (lmao) that’s an hourly wage of a little over $9.38 an hour. That’s not just above the poverty line, that’s over $2 above minimum wage in most states.

I know taxes are higher when you’re self-employed, but I’m not counting the money he brings in through Twitch and YT, so I feel like I’m being more than generous when I say Alex is a moron.
