I've known several white people that did prison time because they were too poor to afford a good lawyer, and got stuck with a court-appointed attorney who didn't give a single fuck about them.

Your finances basically - and unfortunately - decide the level and competency and give-a-shit of your representation, no matter where you live and the competency and give-a-shit of your representation has a great deal of bearing on how your case goes in court. You get the state-appointed 'free' representation, good fucking luck, they're overloaded with cases, they may be doing that work because they're idealistic or because it's the only thing they could find because they're not very good. You pay big money to a top law firm, you will more likely get off if there's a chance for that or get a lesser sentenceif convicted because they presented better mitigation or made a better deal. It's how it works round the damn world.
Now the fact that certain demographics tend to offend a lot AND have less money than average may possibly explain why certain demographics get the fuzzy end of the lollipop in these matters and are overrepresented in prison populations.
You know, just a wild theory. No wait, everything is just a huge white conspiracy, that must be it. The existence of black judges in the USA of course has nothing to do with anything. They must all have internalised waycism or something,

Welp, guess she spent them right back down to ramen and cup noodles until the end of the month. That one check went to rent, car payments, credit cards, and other bills I'm sure they were extremely behind on. Good thing they took that trip to Palm Springs to show off that moddle lifestyle!
