I'll agree with her that Tenney and Logan are stupid, if only because I live in the South and am sick to absolute death of Southern culture and country music and names like Tenney.

I'm surprised she doesn't reeeeeeee more about Ivy, personally. I had a Kaya and Josefina growing up and really wanted an Ivy to finish out the group. She was the Best Friend of Julie the 1970s girl, she was Chinese and had a cute cheongsam and yeah. But by the next catalog, it seems, she was gone. I guess that Asians aren't oppressed enough to warrant Neth's attention unless they're from Seattle.

I found her via how tos and her early doll blogs in 2015. I worshipped the ground she walked on because I was also an outsider in the American Girl community, and for the time I felt accepted.

I didnt ever meet in her in person, but we were close enough.

I know on that forum it was extremely common for people to get bullied and banned for nonsensical reasons. The most disturbing case I remember seeing (and that I posted about earlier in this thread) was when some kid talked about liking the male character and was completely trashed for it and accused of all sorts of awful things which they never did. Neth and her clan then took it to Neth's blog where they went so far as to tell the kid to kill herself by playing in traffic, all over liking a doll. The comment section for this post is disturbing.

I found her blog in 2014 when I was thinking about some of the AG books I'd read as a child. That was when the ballerina Girl Of The Year doll came out and a lot of her posts were hating on that doll. At first, I thought she had a point since there hadn't been a ton of variety in the dolls released in that particular line. She did have a few good points about things people get wrong about the characters, like how people who never read Addy's books thought AG was selling a slave doll. But, the more I read of her blog and the more time that passed, the more I saw her as assholish and hypocritical.

The biggest example of her hypocrisy I recall is this: She had multiple posts complaining about people dressing other dolls in Addy (a black character)'s clothes. Yet, it was fine for her to take Rebecca (a Jewish character)'s cultural things and repurpose those. She would refer to Rebecca as "white" and "privileged", even though a Jewish immigrant in the 1910s would be neither of those things even if their skin was light. She bought a Rebecca doll and trashed it to turn it into a white character. If someone taking a dress of Addy's that does not have cultural significance and putting it on a different doll is rage-inducing for her, why is it fine for her to take outfits and items that do have cultural significance and repurpose them? Why is it okay for her to literally white-wash a character? (ETA: I even remember a thread on her forum back when it was accessible where everyone was sharing their ideas for the historical characters' futures, and either Neth or one of her co-mods headcanoned that Rebecca fucking dies in Auschwitz.)

Another incident I remember was when a mixed Girl Of The Year came out, and she lost it, and was similarly furious that the Addy face mold and curly hair options on the custom doll builder could come in any color. Never mind that mixed children deserve to be represented too. That and her treatment of Rebecca were when I started to realize that she doesn't actually care about representation unless it's her specific idea of representation. Her behavior towards other people for very innocuous things was also starting to get troubling, and when I saw her posts about how Felicity and Elizabeth (two ten year olds) should be fingering each other and decrying anyone who thought that was creepy as just being homophobic, I decided this thread was needed.

She has a private discord server dedicated to her own group of friends, all of them being white mostly female some nonbinary, and they go to other AG related discords and watch. They only say something to call you out on some SJW type bullshit, you displease neth you're done. Most adults are friends with her and when she's upset the whole community goes against you.
Due to me losing her as a friend, I lost half my friend group because what she says goes.
You cannot say anything against her or you're gone.
You cannot like anything she dislikes or you're gone.
Someone in the group chat I was once in brought up chocolate and Neth, along with her just as bad BFF AJ aka Boom (boomdiada) got pissy because Neth is allergic. She calls it Deth.
She gets pissy if you don't dress your dolls "correctly"
Everything said in the adult AG collecting board goes back to Neth, and you better pray you did it right or you're a bigot, transphobic,homophobic racist.
People walk on eggshells from the moment she arrives because of it.
What Neth says goes. No questions.

Her friend Boom always seemed a bit off too, but I'm not as familiar with her. Getting angry that someone just mentioned a food Neth's allergic to is so bizarre. I wouldn't even know how to respond if someone got angry with me for that, I'd just be too confused.

I remember a few posters in the forum that were less... uh, "intense" than the general hivemind, but they would generally be shouted down and either banned or driven away by the board's abusive culture. A friend of mine had a lurker account prior to when they closed everything off and was able to send me one such incident. Apparently there was some huge argument over how textured certain doll's hair is and one of the more reasonable posters finally had enough:

The woman in the first screenshot is no longer apart of the fandom, bullied out by Neth.
The word Nopezi was an autocorrect, certain words had them.
Not allowed to say the words: Dyke or any slur. We weren't allowed to say Derp.
And it was over the election, I liked a post someone made about how there shouldn't be a two party system(my first election i wasn't educated enough) and she immediately screamed at me.
Boom is waaay out of touch with reality. Recently told someone not to say they wanted trump not alive then said she wanted a "racist" teenager to swallow glass.

Were you banned from her forum just for that? It's sad that it looks like she's the one in charge of who gets to even be in this fandom. Did she get to this position just by bullying everybody? I legitimately can't understand why anybody would continually defer to someone who treats others as badly as Neth does.

If anything, insisting on calling actual Nazis "Nopezis" makes them sound less like they were ever an actual threat and more like they were just silly. And I can't imagine this group is too keen on jokes making fun of Nazis (a lot of the SocJus crowd think that if you make fun of the Nazis, you are a Nazi... And i am actually not banned from the fourm. I just stopped posting. I'm still there. Neth has blocked me via Instagram.
Before that she gave me silent treatment and will send someone to tell me off if I do something that she doesn't like.

In paganism there is a ceremonial dagger called an athame. Its not suppoae to be sharp. Its used to cut away bad spirits and demons.
She has a sharp one she uses to self harm. Talked allll about it in a groupchat. The total and blatant disrespect on a sacred item like that really hurt another pagan member. It was both "triggering: I suppose and the disregard.

She has a large following because she was banned from the big fourm, known as playthings, she spun a whole sympathy story about how no one liked her because she's black AND pagan AND older.
So once other outsiders saw someone stand up to playthings, and as long as Neth can twist her stories so she's the victim and not the asshole people will follow.
We had to make our own server on discord to get away from her and her followers. That's actually how we found this thread. Someone mentioned that they saw someone post here that Neth might be abusing her husband....we never knew about the pedophilia.
Oh also we did the math, shes 4 years older than her husband, he was 15 and she was 19 when they started dating.
